SAGITTARIUS NEW MOON 2023
12 December 12:32PM EST 20 degrees 40 minutes Sagittarius Mars is widely conjunct the new Moon at 13 degrees. Neptune is square the Moon and Sun at 24 Pisces. Mercury in Capricorn starts a retrograde cycle that continues until 3 January. December will be a good time to review and wrap things up in preparation for 2024. Sagittarius is a mutable sign. It is willing to throw it into the fire if it doesn’t suit the narrative. With Mercury retrograde in Capricorn it’s a good time to sift through one’s own catalogue of ideas and beliefs. Use your intuition to divide fact from fiction. It is essential to have an “I don’t know” or an “I haven’t decided yet” pile. The polarity between Gemini and Sagittarius is finding its way from raw data to useful information. Useful to you. Useful for practical decision making and life choices. The Sun/new Moon in Sagittarius are square to Neptune in Pisces. The way to affirmation/confirmation and ways to move next is through intuition. How much more information do you really need? Sometimes that is a deflection. Stop. Stand/sit/lie – whatever feels right. Feel your feet. Put one hand on the heart. Rest the other hand in a kind and comforting way on the head. Give the heart a nice pat. Allow the mind to rest and trust the Self to be informed by the Self. We do know. We really often already know. If we can be quiet for a minute and trust we can come to know the next right thought and action (if action is, indeed, required.) This is the business of Sagittarius. A new Moon is as good a time as any to practice receiving what we may already know. The Gemini info bank is inside us. The Sagittarius internal focus allows the information to be sifted, sorted and presented by the intuition in a concise packet. Thus, we remember the arrow of the archer. It has a point. J With Mars conjunct the new Moon action backing up our beliefs is called for. Mercury retrograde in Capricorn has old rhetoric up for review and discard as we see it no longer rings true. Venus in Scorpio is in opposition to Sagittarius’s ruler, Jupiter – currently in Taurus. Venus rules Taurus. We can gain further insight by remembering what it is we want, what we value, and which of our methods are in alignment with our values. Do we care about the effect our actions have on the self and others? Are we being honest with ourselves about that? We watch for self- delusion/self-deception at a Sagittarius new Moon. That’s why ideas, desires, decisions, and actions can be filtered through the intuition. If we take the time to see how we feel about things with an intention of the highest and best for self and others, we can find a way through that has integrity. What we think, say, and do has a vibration that radiates and affects all. Can we think and act in a way that allows us to sleep at night? Can we behave in a way that allows us to experience alignment with the feet, the gut, the head, and the heart? Times are calling for the individual – Venus in Scorpio – to be aware of the power that our own values can hold - and wield - for the transformation of the whole. It is advisable to tune in with the individual conscience as it will inform how we use our energy for the group. Each of our arrows of consciousness and conscience can be released in such a way as to change the world. The intuition can guide the arrows home. May all beings be peaceful. May all beings be happy. May all beings be safe. May all beings awaken to the light of their true nature. May all beings be free. 🎄🍉♐️

SCORPIO NEW MOON
13 November 2023 4:27 AM EST 20 degrees 43 minutes Scorpio Mars, the traditional ruler of Scorpio, is conjunct the Sun and Moon at this new Moon. They oppose Uranus in Taurus making for unexpected, weird, and groundbreaking ideas, emotions and actions that can alter our very reality. Mind the last step, it could be a doozy. Retrograde Neptune in Pisces is widely trining the luminaries bringing additional depth and possibilities of alterations of awareness of our very being. Mercury in Sagittarius Sextile Venus in Libra can fuel your ideas, visions and openness to the Truth. What is real and what do you just WANT to be real because it is in agreement with our beliefs or our current blueprint for life? What is really unfolding here – for us and for the group? Scorpio is unlikely to lay it all out. The blueprint will be symbols barely familiar and barely visible – glimmering in the dark. Saturn is again moving forward in Pisces to help bring symbols into form. With Scorpio you need to want to know. You need to be curious enough to get involved in your own mystery – the opening of boxes at the back of the closet. The asking of questions you’re not entirely sure you want the answer to. The clues may come in a flash of a memory half pulled from a very old dream. Neptune, Jupiter and Uranus are all still in retrograde motion. Dig deeper, maybe start a new hole or enter a new cave of discovery entirely. Ask your unconscious mind and the higher self to greet you in your dreams with a scattering of breadcrumbs for you to follow. Scorpio likes the mystery. It likes the act of finding out. It wants the quest. It wants the adventure of being transformed by the seeking – and possibly – in the finding. Remember- Scorpio deals in shared resources – stock exchanges, the nourishing or noxious air we breathe, and the collective mystery. We may sleuth in silence and apparently alone. But each tidbit unearthed, no matter how tiny and seemingly insignificant, contributes to the mosaic we are solving together. When we emerge from the cave of discovery we may be transformed – a little or a lot. Perhaps the hair went gray overnight, or we have a new bruise we can’t recall getting. The transformation may be internal and seemingly infinitesimal. But it is there – changing, growing and evolving is to new places, ideas, solutions and beliefs. We face more personal and universal Truth (beyond duality) when the Sun enters Sagittarius on 23 November. Prepare to See. Open up and Know. Lots of love, Lydia VIRGO NEW MOON
14 September 2023 9:40 PM EST 21 degrees 58 minutes Virgo The new Virgo Moon is trine to retrograde Pluto at 28 degrees Capricorn. It is trine to retrograde Uranus at 22 degrees Taurus. The Moon is opposing retrograde Neptune at 26 degrees Pisces. Some of these orbs are wider than others but I would count them in. The outer planets, all in retrograde motion will affect this Virgo new Moon on all levels. Virgo does take actions of service to self (there’s no need for martyrs here – enough of that already! 😊) and to others. It gardens and writes and defines. And, Virgo has a lot of internal dialogue and transformation in its nature and practice. Retrograde planets also lead us back in to meet with ourselves. Pluto transforms and helps us to embody our power. Neptune reminds us where to walk between the waking and the dreaming – both the possible and that which is better left behind. Uranus gives us ideas we couldn’t divine with the earthly mind. It helps to see our role as unique individuals and as part of the collective. Jupiter retrograde invites us to check our growth to see what is true for us and what is just blather. Virgo has the authority to rid ourselves of what is no longer serving us, drying up the mist of confusion, and helping us to move forward on a more focused path. Virgo’s ruler, Mercury, resumes forward motion on 15 September at 4:21 PM EST. The reflection and revision of the past three weeks will start to show itself. The business of Virgo is to recognize and release that which no longer rings true for us, that which no longer serves us or the realization of our hopes, wishes and dreams. We are fast approaching the Equinox, a tipping point of the year. Only take with you what you find is useful and recycle the rest. Let the Universe know you mean business by releasing some possessions, people or practices that have been weighing heavy. You know what to choose. New Moons are about having room to breathe, to fill those lungs up, fully exhale, and experience the relief. When we move into Libra on 22 September, we shift into a more outgoing time. Can we move into the second half of the astrological year a bit lighter, unfettered, and with the curiosity brought by Mercury, curious to engage in what is next to come for us. PISCES FULL MOON
30 August 2023 9:36 PM EST The full super blue moon is at 7 degrees Pisces. Saturn is conjunct the Moon at 3 degrees Pisces. This will give a feeling of now is the time and today is the day to this full moon. We may feel like we want to be free and unfettered from daily constraints. Anything we can do to feel personal authority over our time and our own body will help to release that feeling of life itself being too tight and too small. The Sun in Virgo has its ruler, retrograde Mercury, widely conjunct at 19 degrees. I still consider them to be riding along together. A pre- equinox mental, physical, and psychic housecleaning is in order. Pisces is a culmination point. It is the last sign of the zodiac – embodying the energy of all of the signs. We begin again with the full Moon in Aries. With the Pisces full Moon, it really is time to burn a bit of sage, shred some old photos (you know the ones I mean 😊), and prepare to move into the next season and the next cycle at the Equinox. Virgo is a transitional archetype. It is the gateway between the first five signs - Aries to Leo – where we develop the self - more in a type of isolation – and the next signs starting with Libra – when we’re “out in the world” and mixing with others. Mars has entered Libra to ease us into the transition. Before we step outside our garden gate at the Equinox – we may look in the mirror and see who we are and what/how/if we want to present to “society.” First, how do we appear to the self? What needs a touch up and what needs a full revamp? Reviewing time with the self are there some habits, behaviors, or personal tics that are causing you discomfort? Are there some adjustments to be made in daily routine, diet, sleep cycle, self-care and in your fun factor? Sun in Virgo helps this review. The Pisces full Moon wants us to look at our dreams, hopes, wishes and desires. With Virgo’s gimlet eye we can take stock of what we want to attract, what can use an adjustment, and what we would still like to see unfold in the coming days, weeks and months. Venus is retrograde in Leo until September 4 and Mercury is retrograde until 16 September. What we value and how we are think have an opportunity to sync up with the subconscious at this full Pisces Moon. Create a chat in a dreamlike room with your inner selves this full Moon. Close the eyes and ask for what you truly want to be revealed. Ask in writing before going to sleep to be shown what you want and need to know on the way to experiencing your dreams in “real life.” Now is the time for clearing, cleansing, dreaming, and transmutation. So many planets in retrograde motion lends perfect energy to this meditation and activity. Get ready for transformation both large and small. Find a way to know the mind through connection to the heart. Love, Lydia Open your heart to yourself first. The rest will follow.
LEO NEW MOON 2023 New Moon 23° 17’ Leo August 16, 2023 5:38 AM EST An unexpected tour of the heart will be worth the trip this new Moon in Leo. Uranus in Taurus squares the New Moon. As Uranus rules Leo’s polarity – Aquarius - this is a potent internal call: for freedom, self-love, and a breaking away from that which doesn’t serve the soul’s evolution. Retrograde Venus is conjunct the Leo new Moon/Sun combo. Venus is the ruler of Taurus – adding to the urgency to connect with the heart in radical ways. Mars and Mercury in Virgo are inconjunct the new moon and are trine to Uranus in Taurus. This asks us to release old ideas of self, other, and how we create our precious life experience. Mercury goes retrograde on 23 August and resumes forward motion on 15 September – remaining in Virgo the whole time. Clearing away beliefs and ideas (especially about ourselves is on the table. Uranus, higher octave of Mercury, goes retrograde in Taurus on 29 August until 27 January 2024 encouraging a long look at how we value ideas, values and beliefs and how that relates to our world view and our actions in the world. Back to the Sun and Moon in Leo. The essence of Leo is creative self-expression as a way to understand the self, to feel the self, to celebrate the self. Roar! Shake that big Leo head. Proclaim to the savannah that you took down dinner! That you enjoyed that sunrise! That you stood up to the internal chatter and the external “powers that be.” Be yourself! Feel! Shine! Expand. Fill the heart. Fill the chest with air and roar. Feel the relief that comes from filling the lungs all the way, by allowing yourself to be as loud and big as you want. With Venus retrograde in Leo until 4 September, we can explore the inner reaches of the heart to locate the personal gem we truly value. Next - Sneak around. Creep up on the squirrel in the garden. See what it feels like to hold your energy really close in with the self – energy only to be experienced and treasured by you. Feel the full amount of power contained in your physical form. Breathe quietly in and out. Hold the focus of power in the heart. In the silence, say inwardly, “I am here. I am strong. I hold all of the power. I am the power. I create with power. I create with the power of love for myself. Stand in your own glow. Feel it expand like a lion’s mane out from the body; like the rays of the Sun. I am power. I am Sun. I am creation. I am the heart. I am love. Take some time to see how it feels. Keep breathing. Hold one hand on the heart and one to the Sun. Feel the Sun run through the hand, up the arm, to the shoulder and into the heart. Feel the heart expand and glow. Breathe in and out. The human heart holds the creative desire that is unique to each of us. We don’t need to necessarily know what the unique quality is. We can hold the hand in the heart, breathe, welcome the Sun and do what feels natural. As natural as the wind mussing our hair. As natural as answering the urging of our inner voice. As natural as dozing and snacking and chatting. Animal stuff. Human stuff. Fire signs can answer the call of the personal Spirit that resides within. It calls and we can answer with a stretch, a yawn, and a step forward into our ever-growing ever-changing creation. Leo is love. Leo is generous. Leo is expressive. Leo has so much love in the heart it can radiate to the parts of the world that need it with its breath. 🦁🌑🧡♌️ |
