LIBRA FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE

The Sun is in Aries as are Chiron, Mercury and the North Node. We can welcome some new beginning energy here with ideas of where we could go entering the mind. Venus, Neptune, Saturn, and Aries’s ruler, Mars, are all in Pisces, bringing culmination and transmutational energy. Venus is ruler of this full Moon eclipse in Libra. It is making a harmonious aspect to Jupiter and Uranus in Venus-ruled Taurus. Neptune, the higher octave of Venus, is widely conjunct Venus bringing a heavenly boost to the dreams, wishes, hopes and desires we have for the new astrological year. The time between this eclipse and the solar eclipse on 8 April invites us to vision how we want life to be and to ground those dreams and visions on the earth plane by feeling the having of them in the physical body. Writing down what we want to see, do, and have helps the vision along. These can be ideals, actions, qualities, experiences, and actual stuff. The Aries/Libra axis is a Cardinal polarity that asks us to consider the self and our ideas about relating with others. The Libra full Moon wants to be aware of the variety of relationships we have had/are having/want to have in our lives. Aries wants to instinctually carve out what kind of relationship it has had/is having/wants to have with the self. How do we balance the two? When do we engage? When and how do we feel the impulse to individuate? How does that impulse jibe with our relationships? A Libra lunar eclipse calls us within and reminds us the primary relationship – that with the self- needs tending first.
Cardinal signs begin things. With that beginning is an inherent insecurity as we are breaking new or different or unexplored ground about the other and about the self. The eclipse season on the Libra/Aries axis initiates a time of thought, reflection, and action around the primary relationship- the one with the self; and the relationships we have in our imagination, our memory, and in the here and now. The substantial Pisces energy helps to review endings, possible beginnings, and everything in between. Let Spirit, the Higher Self, and instincts (with the Sun in Aries) be your guide. The fire of Aries feeds the air of the Libra full Moon. Fan the flames of your desire for completions and for new beginnings as the wheel of the astrological year begins another turn.

PISCES NEW MOON

Pisces New Moon conjunct it’s ruler, Neptune, makes for a dreamy time, indeed. To find our way in this landscape it is necessary to attune to the whole self. The New Moon makes a harmonious aspect to Uranus and Jupiter in Taurus inviting both physicality and the Higher Self to align. With Mars and Venus in a fixed Aquarius square to Uranus and Jupiter, our vitality and values must be considered, as well.
Mercury has just entered Aries which makes a harmonious aspect to Pluto in Aquarius. How we think and act now can have an impact on the very evolution of our lives and of our souls.
Taking some time to sit with, and making space for, all versions of ourselves is a very good idea this new Moon. Who we thought we would be, the dreams of self that have been left behind, the ones that are barely an inkling of an idea — see who steps forward and who taps on the shoulder and who peeks from behind the curtain? Can some dream selves be integrated into who we want to become? Can those that will be put to rest be acknowledged and released?
With Mercury at 00 degrees of Aries – the first degree of the first sign with a new Moon conjunct Sun in Pisces, the 12th and last sign of the Zodiac, we can speak to the Self as the Fool, as the wise child. We can look into the eyes of our sage and ancient self with a childlike freedom from guile. We can see all the way in and through, if we can allow ourselves to approach the Self with innocence.
