CANCER FULL MOON 2020
The full moon is at 8 degrees 53 minutes Cancer at 9:28 PM EST on 29 December2020. For a year so full of Capricornian energy it seems fitting that we go out looking at the Cancer/Capricorn polarity. They are Cardinal signs. Cancer is water and Capricorn is Earth. The mountain goat of Capricorn has the serpent’s tail reminding us that we come from the great pool of all that is. Capricorn is the executive of the zodiac. It excels when it remembers that it climbed to the heights to get a better view of where it came from – and where it intends to go. Remembering the big picture is useful at this time. A Cancer full moon can feel very personal. It can take things personally. It can filter experiences and thoughts through the personal emotional body. But all of the water signs have the ability to tune in, like a whale across many leagues underwater, to the calls and cries of its fellow whales – be they warnings, or invitations to better feeding grounds. We are, of course, able to hear the calls of our fellows better than ever – thanks to all of the enhancements to communication we now have in the devices in our hands, at our fingertips, and through mor ancient means rediscovered: intuition, instinct and meditation. We can feel the calls and ripples in our vibrational fields. Many of us may be experiencing these communiques more than ever as other, more familiar, more mundane means, have been curtailed for the time being. When one sense or familiar experience has been removed, it is natural to enhance another. This leads to talk of our recent great conjunction of Saturn, ruler of Capricorn, and Jupiter, ruler of Sagittarius in Aquarius. At the full moon they are at one and two degrees Aquarius, respectively – so they are still conjunct. Aquarius rules the higher Mind, the group mind, the hive mind, the Zeitgeist. So at this full Moon we are reminded to tune in to ourselves first. Then we can twirl our antennae to the greater information available to us. It is important that the practice of attuning our frequency to one that coincides with what we want to to attract us well and truly in place. This will filter out any unnecessary noise. Attracting information that will positively fill in gaps in awareness, knowledge, solutions for not only how to cope, but how to enhance the current experience for ourselves and others is key at this time. Pay attention to synchronicities, coincidences and moments when we got just what we need: comfort, an answered question, a supportive response- or tha sudden ability to lend support. When these are noted, a thank you, and request for “ more of this, please can enhance or experience further. Daily reflection, in a journal, for example, of all that went well, of answers and gifts given and received will build up the optimism- Jupiter- that things can and do work out for us. Journaling gives a structure: Saturn/Capricorn, to our feelings: Moon/Cancer that will lead the way to further evolution. Find out where the Moon is in your personal birth chart. Read up on what the Moon in that sign means. In Evolutionary Astrology, the Moon leads the way. The emotions are the road map that illuminate our way. The Moon, ruler of Cancer, changes sign every 2.5 days or so. That is why it is called a Moon/Moonth/Month. The Moon travels through all of the signs of the zodiac about once a month or every 30 days or so. Paying attention to what sign the Moon is in day to day and relationships that to ones own chart and ones emotional body as it moves through the signs is a way to tune in to greater energies, and also is a way to better understand the self. At this full Moon, Pluto in Capricorn is squaring Mars in its home sign of Aries, also a Cardinal sign. New beginnings can bring deep changes on the inner and the outer. We may reflect, as the calendar year comes to a close, on our accomplishments in 2020, good job for making it through, dear readers! And we can instinctually -the realm of Aries is instinct- tune in to how we want to proceed with our lives as the calendar ticks over to another year. On what would we like to turn the page and/or close the book altogether? What endeavors would we like to continue? In what areas would we like to expand? Where could we use some advice/information/support in that expansion? We may have access to all kinds of tutorials, but sometimes we may actually want some human help. The wise mind and heart knows when to work in solidarity and when to reach out for assistance. Capricorn Sun and Cancer Full Moon brings us, once more, to a place where standing in one’s own strength and acknowledging and accepting ones feelings and experiences, are the keys to peace, empowerment, and the ability to move forward. Happy 2021. May the new year unfold gracefully for all. Lydia www.soulastro.com [email protected]

SAGITTARIUS NEW MION SOLAR ECLIPSE
The new Moon solar eclipse will take place at 11:16 AM EST December 14th 2020 at 23 degrees 7 minutes Sagittarius. All in a row, we have Sun, Moon, Mercury, and the South Node in Sagittarius. So, that whole line up opposes the North Node of the Moon at 19 Gemini. The call to sift through the piles of glittering information and ideas to discern which is gold dust and which is worthless sticky glitter is made to us now. Sagittarius finds the with and meaning in information and ideas. It internalizes what is True for us. We can choose to cast aside that which is indoctrination, infused ideation from authority. We thus carry on with the move toward individuation and liberation. We can move on. There is a fiery trine from the New Moon and its companions to Mars in Aries. This heralds an instinct to do things in a new way, to think for ourselves in a new way, to work our way through the glitter and the gold to a new way of understanding. By the 21st, the line up if planets will have made a sea change. At the new moon, Jupiter and Saturn are hanging with Pluto in late degrees of Capricorn. By the Solstice, Jupiter and Saturn will align in the Great Conjunction in Aquarius. I did a Zoom EA talk about this alignment. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/eY4GVLqnOq4 We are shaking off the shackles of the constricting qualities of Capricorn and moving into new waves of Aquarian individuation, liberation, community, and personal responsibility and accountability. The Sagittarius new Moon eclipse reminds us all thing begin with intuition rather than external commands and demands. When we are attune, first with the Higher Self and inner wisdom, we can move more smoothly, with less effort and with greater effect. We have an opportunity, as we approach the Solstice, tune in to real and profound transmutation that stems from within. It is wise to remember that Sagittarius’s ruler is Jupiter: purveyor of optimism, expansion and Truth. We can make a choice to tune the dial to optimism, fun, big ideas and the good feelings that ride in their coattails. Venus enters Sagittarius on December 15th, so feel how beautifully the ideas, inspiration, and intuition evolve into words, plans, actions and activities. Chiron goes direct at 8 degrees Aries on 15 December. This asteroid named for a centaur calls us to move forward, wounds and all, to give our hard won and deeply felt gifts. By the Solstice, Jupiter and Saturn align in Aquarius in a way that should even be visible to the naked eye in the sky. These planets are real. They affect us in a real way. Their conjunction ushers in the next level of individuation, breakthrough and evolution. Bring your mind, heart and spirit along for this ride. Tune your spirit antennae to brighter and bigger things just beyond what you think is possible. That is where the next steps await us, calling us forward. Lots of love, Lydia www.soulastro.com [email protected] |
