PISCES NEW MOON
The Pisces new moon takes place on February 23 at 10:32 AM EST. It takes place at 4 degrees 29 minutes Pises. Pisces is a mutable water sign. It is the last sign of the zodiac and contains the energy of all the signs. It is a culmination of the entire wheel of the year. This makes the Pisces New Moon a great time to look back at the previous 12 months and forward to the coming year. As Pisces is ruled by Neptune, this new Moon invites us to dream, and to envision what we want to attract; where we want to spend our time and energy. With Pisces we can also look at where we have been deluded, waylaid or sidetracked by ideas that may not be what we truly want. We can be sidetracked by outmoded ideas, by thinking we want a life presented by social media that would, in truth and practice, not suit our disposition at all. Getting a clear look at who we are and how we want life to unfold can be aided by meditation, by writing, by consulting oracles, by vision boards, by dream journals….. Mercury is still retrograde in Pisces. It will dip its toe back into Aquarius to 28 degrees before resuming forward motion on March 10. The bulk of the retrograde time is spent in Pisces, inviting us to see where we are foggy, where we are clear and where we might want to stay in the mist of potential until clarity arrives. Saturn, lord of karma and timing, is getting ready to end the two year journey through Capricorn, the planet’s home sign. Saturn will move into revolutionary, ground breaking, rut shaking Aquarius on March 22. Before Saturn leaves Capricorn, it will make some parting shots. At the time of the new Moon, Mars is at 4 degrees Capricorn and Jupiter is at 18 degrees Capricorn. Pluto is at 24 degrees Cap and Saturn is at 27 degrees. The South Node is nearly conjunct Mars at 6 degrees Capricorn. We are face to face with the structure of our lives — the physicality and the plans and the timing. What needs to be let go can be taken or shaken from our very hands at times like this so that we can be present for a deeper experience, the one we’ve been planning for with our higher selves. We’ve been sitting in the Higher Self’s tree house, with a Guardian angel and our soul and a stick scratching out plans in the earthen floor that our ordinary selves may know nothing about. Perhaps only a glimmer or a nudge til now. The part of us that visits with other realms while we are sleeping or doing the shopping or making plans for greatness has been quietly been plotting for an unfolding beyond our simple human imagining. The sudden appearance of these machinations of our higher selves can pull us up and out of the every day. I have seen it happening with several people I know this very week. A healing crisis, the addiction that finally gets big enough for the job to be lost and for recovery to begin. These are Pisces/Neptune meets Capricorn experiences. Where we are lost from life, we are called back to the light of day. The path we truly desire opens up in perhaps a sudden and possibly shocking way - where part of or all our whole existence may need to be reconsidered— Mercury retrograde in Pisces and Aquarius. Uranus in Taurus trining Mars in Capricorn can flush us from our rut to find deeper value in our activities and relationships. Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn in Capricorn are square to Venus in Aries at this new Moon. Venus is the lower octave of Pisces’ ruler Neptune. Aries is led by instinct. Both Pisces and Capricorn are Cardinal signs that want to begin and begin again. Aries may break down barriers with its head to get the soul moving on the next leg of the journey while the personality is left rubbing the resultant lump and trying to keep up. Pisces is the dream and delusion. It is also a culmination readying for another turn around the wheel of the year. Capricorn is the timing and structure. Uranus/Aquarius is the group and the lighting bolt that sets our pants and mind on fire with change of body and ideas. These energies are all at play this new Moon. While sitting in the dark of the Sun/Moon conjunction in Pisces, we can relate to the alternate awareness the fish has naturally that we can tap into. We are all swimming in the same pool of spirit that is beyond time and space. We are able to feel the ripple of what is approaching— sometimes hard by, sometimes many moons away. Both may be relevant to the here and now. The sense we used to pick up on these ripples may be intuition, instinct and connection to our Higher Self, rather than, or in addition to sight, sound, taste etc. Expansion into love of self and love of each moments variety of experience is the best friend at this time. When the waves come, by diving deeper we find stillness, comfort and wisdom. Love, Lydia 💜 www.soulastro.com lydia@soulastro.com

LEO FULL MOON 2020
Creative Fire The full moon at 20 degrees Leo brings home our creative expansion. With the Sun in Aquarius we are on the trajectory between our personal creative self expression and the way that expression can be shared and enhanced with the group. Leo is personal and wants to shine on its own merit. Our evolution starts with our emotional body. The full Moon gives a radiant point of self reflection and projection. With the opposition to the Sun in Aquarius we can say, how does my radiance, my special and unique and NECESSARY shininess benefit the whole? What does my presence – the way I hold my head, the way I walk into a room, the way I share my story, benefit the whole? Aquarius loves its friends, its community, its shared vision. Together, we can be electrifying. But it’s the differences in our gifts and abilities and histories joined together that make a whole that can energize and transform and galvanize. We have our first Mercury retrograde cycle of the decade starting on Feb 17 at 12 degrees Pisces. Mercury will resume forward motion on 10 March at 28 Aquarius. All other planets are direct until 26 April when Pluto goes retrograde at 24 Capricorn. We may want to consider how our day to day conversations affect us and others. Mercury rules short distance travel. We could forego driving to the shops and walk instead; using the time to be mindful of the air, the signs of the ever-changing natural reactions to temperatures and sunlight. The Sun enters Pisces on February 18, so the Mercury retrograde will have an extra Neptunian cast. We have to opportunity to gaze into the dream space, the land of wish and hope and desire. We can reflect on how life is unfolding and the direction we are taking. We can adjust the wish list to fit where we are today. We may want different things than we did a month, a year, a lifetime ago. Also, the trajectory of our dreams may have shortened thanks to our increased awareness, abilities and knowledge. As Pisces also addresses delusion, we want to see where our ideas are not reflecting the clear, true light of day. What we see in dim shadow at 3 am is very different once the sun comes up. The practical Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus May give the wake up call to what, indeed, is what. Venus is the lower octave of Neptune. Venus will be moving through instinctual and action-oriented Aries until 6 March. As we reflect on what we want, Venus in Aries may give us a sudden brainstorm on how to get it. Chiron moves from Pisces to Aries on 19 February. We may see how our wounds and dashed or amended dreams have lead to new shots, fresh growth and stronger visions that will suit better who we are now. Lots of love and happy dreams.💗 Lydia www.soulastro.com lydia@soulastro.com |
