Aquarius Full Moon 2021 – AGAIN!
We have a second Aquarius Full Moon in a row. This is a rare occasion. The first one was at 1 degree on July 23rd.
This one is at 29 degrees Aquarius Sun in Leo at the same degree on August 22 at 8:01 AM EST.
The Sun will enter Virgo a few hours later, at 5:34 PM EST and by then the Moon will be in Pisces. Still, this full Moon is firmly in Aquarius, bringing its revolutionary, wild-eyed ideas and rebellion to the fore.
This time,Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, is in a retrograde motion in the middle degrees of Taurus. It will continue retrograde until January 18, 2022.
It is important to find ways to keep the energy flow moving in our bodies through grounding, self soothing, taking electrolytes and having a nice dance or walk or yoga session. Time spent tuning in to trees, flowers, the earth, and insects you might see crawling or hovering around will also be useful.
Retrograde Jupiter in Aquarius pretty much conjunct the full Moon may blow ideas, conversations and hot-headedness out of proportion so a screen-free day or two could be beneficial and save some backtracking later.
Sticking the hands into some dough, the sea, the sky, or the earth is going to be more fun than the keyboard at the moment.
Mars and Mercury are already in level-headed Virgo and at the full Moon they are widely opposing Neptune in Pisces. Both Virgo and Pisces are linked to service, Leo is generous, and Aquarius can be community-minded.
We can take some creative dream time to temper the more frenetic influences of another Aquarius Full Moon.
They can also help us to consider which flashes of insight, idea, creative fire we actually want to bring into form, into action. If these concepts and creations can benefit the community on a micro or macro level, even better! Aquarius rules friends and community and it’s energies are channeled well when the greater good is considered. Venus is already in Libra bringing a cool aesthetic eye to the party.
The last blast of Leo’s creative fire can be taken advantage of before the sun heads into Virgo’s calm, considered guise a few hours after the full Moon.
We are moving from Fire to Earth. We move from fixed energy to Virgo’s Mercurial-ruled mutability. How can we clear the decks to make room for more love, more friendship, more collaborative creativity in our lives?

LEO NEW MOON 2021
The New Moon at 16 degrees 24 minutes Leo shines on us August 8 2021 at 9:50 AM EST. Leo is a fixed fire sign. Creative Self Expression is Leo’s purview.
Mars and Venus are now in Virgo. They will help to clarify the creative energies of the Leo new Moon.
Leo is creative self-expression. With the physicality of Mars and the beauty/creativity/relationship energy of Venus, the Sun’s expression can be refining, honing and healing.
Venus is opposing Neptune on August 9th inviting us to reach into the dream space while maintaining a firm footing in ordinary reality. This allows the creative and expansive nature of the dream time to be available to us in the day to day: for creating, for imagining, for planning, for enjoying life in new/enhanced and/or different ways.
This New Moon opposes the outer planets which affect global issues. It is best to tend our own patch at this time, remembering that what we do on the personal level radiates outward to affect, and we hope, benefit the whole anyway.
The personal fire of Leo can invite us to actually put paint to paper, spoon to batter- to make, to create.🌻 Mercury in Leo highlights the willingness to make it so.
Mercury quincunx to Neptune can make a swirl of the message so we might as well make a beautiful abstract creation.
On August 11, Mercury moves into Virgo to help us to refine our ideas and creations.
We can look at what we have said and done with a new eye and perspective.
On 17 August Venus enters Libra breathing a different kind of aesthetic into the way we shape our lives.
The Leo New Moon invites us to remember with each sunrise, with each moment, we can start our day, our mindset, over again. We can imagine our to do list, our intentions, our methods in new and different ways. We can dive into co-creation – with our higher selves, with our angels, with our environment, with our challenges, with our desires.
Leo is creative self expression. It is ruled by the Sun. It illuminates, it enlightens and it has the attention and focus of a fixed sign to bring ideas out of the heart (ruled by Leo) and into reality.
Leo is fun and creative and generous. Leo lies in the ray of sunlight cast on the living room carpet. It knows when to hunt, to love, to create and to doze.
