VIRGO NEW MOON
This New Moon takes place on 17 September 2020 at 7:00 Am EST at 25 degrees Virgo. Virgo is a mutable earth sign ruled by Mercury. Virgo is in charge of work, health, daily routine and service. Virgo is fun-loving and is so good at time management, it knows how to make time for fun. Virgo knows that work is service and work is live in action – regardless of the task, it can be attended to with reverence. A Virgo new Moon is a good time for an attitude check/adjustment on our lives, how we spend our time, and how we feel about how we are spending/giving our time. It’s a good time to look at the direction of our thoughts since our actions will often follow those thoughts.😊 Mercury is currently in Libra, so making peace with our thoughts and living the words that are flowing through our minds and out of our mouths is especially beneficial. Jupiter in Capricorn has now gone direct and some feelings of expansion and optimism are being expressed, coming out of the subconscious into the light. It’s a good time to expand and act on ideas that may have been back burnered since springtime. Jupiter is still traveling through Capricorn along with retrograde Saturn and Pluto. The New Moon makes an Earth trine to all three of them. So we can dig deep to expand on our expression of personal power and authority. We can expand and fill up the space on our lives that has been made by isolation, less in person socializing, and a decrease in general restless errands and running around. The three Capricorn planets also square retrograde Mars in Aries. The structure of everything we know is up for review – nature, government, our personal authority, work, daily life, family operations. Everything. Mars in Aries wants to get on with it. Retrograde Mars in Aries needs to find a way to befriend its inner fire and instinctual life force. It needs to physically balance that inner fire with the whole physical system. It needs to be the strong composed warrior who is preparing for future engagement. That warrior is strengthening and calming disciplining its mind. It is tending to the strength and feeding of its body. It is honing it’s intellectual skills of reasoning, problem solving and decisiveness. The warrior at rest is honing it’s skills. It is keeping its uniform in good condition. It is tending to the tools of its particular trade and sharpening its skills. This is a good use of Mars retrograde energy. The warrior’s pack is filled with food that will last a while and with clothing and coverings suitable to the season. This list is a metaphor for being skillful, and for being prepared. Virgos are skillful, practical, adaptable, and prepared. It is also a recommendation to have a bag in the car and in a closet by the door to grab and go should the need arise. The warrior is working on knowing how to marshal and process it’s emotions. The warrior has made peace with itself and it’s Maker, understanding better than most that no one gets out of this Earth experience alive. When one has made peace with oneself and ones Maker, however that Maker is perceived, one is free to live in freedom, strength and confidence. The warrior at camp is also tending to the development and nurture of relations with community members and companions. It is learning to quiet the mind so that it can be ready to act, to serve, when the time is right. The Capricorn energy of Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter is a lot about timing. Mars retrograde needs to learn the very important lesson of cooling ones own jets so that energy is available at the right time. Jupiter squares Virgo’s ruler, Mercury, now in Libra at the New Moon. This can give rise to some new ideas. It can also illuminate understanding of ourselves through our ways of relating with others. The Jupiter/Mercury square can also help us to refine our daily routines so that they work better for us. Virgo is a mutable sign. It is constantly finding ways to adapt to changes of all kinds. Virgo has the ability to see the new and different patterns in all aspects of life as things shift and evolve. Virgo can pivot in 3D and in real time. So with a clear head and an eye for the most efficient and health-filled way forward, we proceed with our dreams hopes wishes desires and our daily routines. Much love to you all. PISCES FULL MOON 2020
The full Moon is at 10 degrees Pisces is at 1:21 AM EST on September 2, 2020. The Virgo/Pisces axis invites us to bring the dreams and visions into the every day. Pisces helps us to calibrate our vibration to that which we would like to attract into our lives, minds and heart. Virgo helps us to do a mental and physical housecleaning to make room for the dreams and visions to manifest. Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto retrograde in Capricorn remind us of where we may have wanted to go, how we had considered wanting things to unfold, and how we may have reframed our dreams, wishes, hopes, and desires to match how we have grown, changed, and evolved. We can then start vibrating in time with our updated/upgraded visions for our time here on Earth. Recent circumstances may have helped to refine what is important to us. Mars in its home sign of Aries is square to retrograde Saturn in its home sign of Capricorn. These planets in cardinal signs want to find a new start. They want to restructure. There is a lot of pent up energy after months of being indoors, isolating, masked, reframing the whole way we work, socialize and even walk out the door. Explosive energy is observed on the inner and the outer. At the time of the Pisces full Moon we can look at ways to transmute the frustration, fear, and grief that’s coursing through societal and personal systems. On September 10th, Mars will begin a retrograde period. The vital energies will gain an inward focus. We will have a choice to nurture our instinctual drive as a fire in the belly that is growing toward a purposeful expression. Mars will resume forward motion on 14 November. It will be a time to martial inner reserves of energy in lieu of waging inner battles. It is time to act as water flowing down as snow melts in springtime. When it comes to rock it flows around it. It is time to find the your flow – less the Mars like bulldozer and more the Neptunian water flowing downstream… finding its way naturally down and around. The water still show the rock who is boss by wearing it down over time. Destructive floods only come when there is a back up. If we keep the flow moving with ease, it is more like having good feelings on tap - - a tap that can be adjusted and regulated. It may seem like outside forces and authorities are in charge. When we can retreat – very Pisces – think monastery not prison — we can go within for the bigger picture and for guidance to see what comes next. Remember, Pisces holds all of the energy of ALL of the signs. It is the 12th sign of the Zodiac. So that means it has the embodiment of Aries and of Capricorn and Cancer and all of the signs the other planets are currently transiting. This is why the Pisces full Moon is so powerful. Going within and letting all of the puzzle pieces fall into place with wisdom and grace and ease is the most powerful action that can be embodied at this time. The Pisces Full Moon helps us to look for spaces where grace flows in, illuminating the silver linings already present. The Sun in Virgo helps us to find ways to transmute unhelpful patterns of thinking to forward-thinking ones. Virgo helps us to look for and to choose to pick up useful tools and daily habits. Virgo helps us to find a clear path to more suitable ways to work and to serve. The Pisces full Moon may want to drown its sorrows in the usual suspects – distractions, diversions, and/or self-prescribed mood changers. We can align with the full Moon to illuminate spots that need love, attention and transformation. Pisces’ ruler, Neptune, is widely conjunct the full Moon, amplifying the deep and transformative energy available at this time. Venus in Cancer opposes retrograde Saturn in Capricorn at the full Moon. We can balance our emotional body by making structures and routines that add to comfort and a sense of security. Venus is square to Mars inviting us to examine our motivations and impulses and the emotions that accompany what we’ve done, what we aren’t doing, and what we may like to do. We can find new ways to join with others and to unite our emotional bodies with our actions and reactions. On 6 September Venus enters Leo. Finding new and creative ways to engage the vital life force for our own fulfillment and, in turn, the fulfillment of others will be a great way to channel the Mars retrograde internal furnace. Mercury, ruler of Virgo, enters Libra on 6 September, inviting us to look at new ways to engage with others and to relate to them in a way that teaches us new things about ourselves. Virgo Sun wants to go out with the old to make the best use of what we have chosen to keep. The Pisces Moon wants to give a luminescent sheen to our days and nights- to make the every day feel magical. The illumination, reverence and even glorification of the every day is possible by practicing continuous engagement in the present, lovable, glorious moment. This moment is all the eternity we have.
