TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE
SAGITTARIUS FULL MOON 2021 The May’s full Flower Moon AND lunar Eclipse is at 7:13 AM EST on Wednesday, May 26. We have some retrograde motion calling us back in. Saturn turned retrograde on 23 May at 13 Aquarius 31. Saturn is retrograde until 10 October. We will be looking at our structures and timing. We can make sure our foundations have been laid well and do any of our brainstorms need some fleshing out and edits. As people are resuming “normal” activities we may be dialing some activities and practices back in. Use common sense end a good sense of timing as we venture out and about a bit more. Mercury goes retrograde on 29 May at 24 Gemini 43 - it’s home sign. Mercury will resume forward motion on 22 June. We’ve made lots of adjustments to our ways of interacting in the past 14 or 15 months. It’s a good time to consider, as we start to re enter regular society, what the past year plus in time has taught us about how we interact with others. The when and who and how and how often all may be different for us now. We can be mindful that we may have new habits to incorporate when we venture back out and there is an adjustment period. We also may be skittish, unsure, lots of other things in any given day. Be kind to the self and to others as we do or do not reenter the wider world. At the full Moon, Saturn and Uranus are pretty much square, a recurring theme for the year. Old ways and new ways are squaring off. The stable and the upstart energies are finding ways to feed and nurture each other so we can evolve. This jostling around is not always comfortable, so self care and good self talk are important at this time. It can be like being on a boat and we need to get our sea legs. Sea legs are not rigid, they allow for the rising up and dropping down of the waves as the ship moves through the water. It is a calibration/recalibration time. The Sun, North Node, Mercury and Venus are all in Gemini. We are coming back into the world, blinking, after months of distance and wanting to see how we, others, and the world outside have changed. The Sagittarius full moon can key us into the way our intuitive selves will process and assimilate these changes.Eclipses supercharge existing energies, so take some time to tune in with the higher Self to adjust to Who We Are Now. We want to know it all in Gemini. The Sagittarius Moon wants us to understand what our intuition agrees it is worthwhile to Know. What is useful for our understanding and evolution, instead of a catalogue of random tidbits of information- true/false and in between. This time of Saturn square Uranus asks us to find and use and make new pathways with our own Truth. We each must find our own way to what is true for us and how we want to proceed from that place of new understanding. We have a lot of mutable energy at this Full Moon and even Jupiter has joined the transmutation party in Pisces. Our dreams and thoughts can be entertained and entrained. We can bring them to life by lifting them from the world of dreams into the space of creation by writing them down. We can honor them by rushing out to meet them with an embrace, and with an action that shows we mean business. Strike that chord. Mix that batter, optimize that search engine. Reach out to that great network. Speak the dream aloud to that full Sagittarius Moon and let loose the arrow that points to the shiny heart of what’s yours.Love you. TAURUS NEW MOON
The new Moon is at 21 degrees Taurus at 2:59 PM EST. Taurus loves its safety and security so that it can appreciate the natural Beauty that is Life on planet Earth. The simple pleasure of a well- loved breakfast - and second breakfast - can be a way to celebrate this new Moon. Taurus is learning how to value the self – its physical form - via food, rest and cozy furnishings. Taurus can be brave and adventurous when pushed out the door or pulled into a cause it cannot ignore. Taurus prefers to be fully fed and rested before embarking on any quests, odysseys or other value-fueled worthy projects. Safety first is the rallying cry here. Practicality will help the team survive the day. If we survive the journey we can return home to tend the garden, raise the barn and laze in the Sun. Attuning to what is important to us is the focus of the Taurus new Moon. We each have a finite amount of time here in this body, in this life. How do we want to spend that time? How do we want to spend our valuable time? How do we want to live this valuable life? In the dark of the Moon we can feel our way into what we value, what we we can fit in the palm of our hand— glistening, shining through the cracks between our fingers, saying “take me along.” What is the nugget of pure beauty, of unquestionable value, that can speak to us about this one life? This little and powerful meditation can be done by sitting in the garden and holding a seed or a clump of Earth. It can be done by going to sleep holding a favorite stone or talisman or teddy bear. Ask the Higher Self, “what do I value now? And what is the most valuable action for me now? Venus, ruler of Taurus, is currently in Gemini - as is Mercury. The Sun and new Moon Sextile Neptune — the higher octave of Venus – ruler of Taurus. Simple questions can give us deep, helpful, useful, actionable and accessible answers starting with this new Moon. The questions are asked. They reach out their tendrils to the higher Self and the Universal Wisdom. Mercury in an air trine to Saturn brings ideas into reality in good timing when we attend to them. Mars in Cancer Sextile Uranus in Taurus waters and makes fertile the ground laid for those ideas. As the Moon waxes, the answers will reach toward us, as the grape vine in my garden twines around its neighbor, the pear tree. The answers are seeking us. Bask in the inner glow of the Higher Self in comfort and assurance that what needs to be answered will be answered and even, known. Lots of love, Lydia www.soulastro.com [email protected] |
