CAPRICORN NEW MOON/SOLAR ECLIPSE
The New Moon and Solar Eclipse will occur at 12:13 AM EST ON December 26th. We approach the closing of the year and the decade with Capricorn’s New Moon and eclipse at 4 degrees 7 minutes Capricorn. The eclipse amplifies the energy of the New Moon. Jupiter will be within a degree conjunction to the New Moon. Jupiter definitely amplifies, or expands what it touches. Now Saturn, ruler of Capricorn, traditionally is known to contract what it touches. I like to think of Saturn as solidifying things it touches. It makes them real. The concrete sets, the jelly gels, the story starts to make sense. I like Jupiter and Saturn traveling together. Jupiter brings the vision, the expanding sense of possibility, the jokes. Saturn brings the blueprint, the timeline, the storyboard and an outcome in real time. It’s like the buddies in any tale of a journey. Both players can’t be Falstaff. And both players can’t be the one who gives all the reasons why it will never work. We need walls to the house, a container into which we pour our grand ideas, recipes and designs. Since Saturn is in charge of timing, we can take actions, after calm reflection and planning, and let go of the results- leaving the results in the lap of the gods. Uranus, is currently retrograde in Taurus and makes a trine to the new Moon/Sun/Jupiter in Capricorn. Uranus, the higher octave of Mercury, doesn’t necessarily care how we might feel about the earth shattering downloads of awakening or information it gives us at this new Moon. Keep a microphone, pen or some other device handy to record the revelation that may be available at this time. Don’t hit the snooze again. If a jolt is given, it is a call the higher self is making to the physical receiver. It’s only polite to receive. If we don’t, the next jolt could do more than simply get our attention. Also at the new Moon, Saturn and Pluto are pretty close to a conjunction in later degrees of Capricorn- 21 and 22 degrees respectively. Saturn is The ruler of this new moon/eclipse. Pluto is the ruler of our personal and soul’s transformation. In Capricorn, these two are saying, yah it’s time. Sometimes as we travel down the road with these two, the road may get more narrow. Superfluous interests may fall away. What used to seem important may suddenly feel superficial. We wil see what is truly important to us. Focus is enhanced. Focus is aided and guided by Saturn and Pluto. It could feel restrictive as the higher self guides us to important appointments with our own destiny. Pluto is the higher octave of Mars, who is currently in Scorpio, who is ruled by Pluto. We may feel that there are some things afoot that are just out of reach of our understanding. It is important to be prepared, through increased time of rest and reflection, to receive and assimilate information that will coalesce into understanding in perfect timing. We are in a beautiful space where the dream, the idea, the possible — meets the probable, the achievable, the doable? Saturn allows the hot air balloon of puffed up Jupiter potential to land on terra firma. We can tie the balloon down, alight from the basket and earth the ideas; we can make manifest the big picture that we envisioned from on high. Funnily enough we started 2019 with a Capricorn new Moon and eclipse and now we end it with another one. In the past year, I hope you have fine tuned the dreams and visions that are the unfoldment of our lives. We say an uplifting word to a stranger at the grocery store, it makes their day. It saves their life. We embark on a new project or hobby that enlivens us and that brightness blasts outward. It raises our vibration and the vibration of those around us. We clear out old wounds, fears or habits and allow good feeling thoughts and actions that fill the resulting void. These are all very Saturnian experiences. These are feet walking in a Good Orderly Direction types of Capricornian actions. All the best to you all and see you in 2020. Lydia www.soulastro.com lydia@soulastro.com

The Sun may be in Sagittarius and the Full Moon is in Gemini, but wow we must talk about Capricorn.
At this Full Moon on Dec 12 12:12 EST we have Pluto at 21 degrees and Venus and Saturn at 19 degrees Capricorn. We have the South Node at 8 degrees and Jupiter at 2 degrees of the sign of the Goat with a serpents tail. Since the ruler of Sagittarius is Jupiter and Jupiter is now going to spend a year traveling through Capricorn the two signs are finding their way together. I happen to think they make a great pair. Jupiter wants to expand and grow and can be prone to unbridled optimism and an almost grandiose expectation of good luck. Capricorn and Saturn love growth and expansion, as long as careful planning and a good sense of timing are employed. We don’t want the wood to expand so much in the rain that we can’t shut the door. It’s an opposites attract kind of situation in which the two temper each other. We also have a mutable T square formed by the Sun, the Moon and Neptune in Pisces. We are dreaming in this square to Neptune. We are seeing where our dreams, hopes and visions have come to fruition. Full Moons are culmination points and a good time to take stock. A good amount of time to look at is the last six months when the sun was in Gemini and the Moon was in Sagittarius. This axis looks at the mind, communication, curiosity and Truth; and how we gather and assimilate information. Gemini asks what is that? Sagittarius asks what does it mean? Intuition and inner exploration is the shortest way to find out. All of the Capricorn energy says “it’s time,” as Capricorn’s ruler, Saturn says “when.” This is the last full Moon of the decade. We move out of the teens and into the twenties. Like our century, with many planets in Capricorn, we are maturing. What is nearing completion that has been a focus since the last eclipse cycle of Cancer/Capricorn in July of 2019? On December 26 we have a new eclipse cycle beginning- with the New Moon Solar Eclipse at 4 degrees Capricorn. The dance with Jupiter in Capricorn will continue, so find a way to move with your own flow of expansion and contraction. When we know when to inhale and when to exhale, knowing each is a necessity, our breath can take us, in perfect timing, into The unfoldment of our lives. We can only hold the lungs at full expansion or full exhalation for a short time. We need to expand and contract, expend energy and gather energy in a cycle that works best for us. It is a busy time of year on the inner and the outer. Find an expansion and contraction cycle that works best for you and the responsibilities and the intentions will have a way of being met.
