Blue Moon - July is bookended with full Moons. - on the first and the 31st. The full Moon in Aquarius is a call to the highest mind. The one that knew that Pluto was out there even though we could not see it. The mind that has the same brilliant idea that another person is having, solving a similar, heretofore unsolved puzzle thousands of miles away.

The mind that doesn't worry that someone else may get to the finish line first - as long as someone gets there - for the good of all.

Retrograde Venus is moving quite closely with Jupiter in Leo reaching for an inner expansion of our deepest creativity - the self- expression that truly makes the soul and heart sing. The fire inside may appear to be lit by ambition or competition or a need for security in its square to Taurus.

This full Moon time shows us, if we allow ourselves time of reflection, to really know and work with our Motivator.

The lover within that wants to create beauty to soothe, that wants to make babies to love and evolve the creative expression, to reach far beyond what we know to dive into what is Known.

Yes, perhaps we started on a particular path to please our parents or because there didn't seem to be another choice.

How are we now making the creative self expression of our very lives our own?

When the Leo Sun lifts it's head and sees its reflection in the Aquarius full Moon it knows how its creative expression can fill its own heart and, in turn, light up the world.

The New Moon in Cancer is joined by Mercury and Mars in the sign of the crab. What a wonderful time for a bit of navel examining. Particularly if it reveals how you are feeling.

Don't dwell too long on it- know that regardless of how the world is spinning around you, you can always be friends with your emotional body and give it the love and attention it needs.

Jump in the sea or a lake. Allow the water to rinse the past and future away to reveal the present moment.

A salt bath in your tub will also do the trick. Think thoughts that feel good to you and release those that do not buoy you up.

Allow yourself to sit in the dark and know that you can find your way over sand and stone.. Float when you need to. And know that a retreat behind the safety of a rock until a storm passes can be a brave and perfect act.

The Mother must take care of herself or she cannot be there for anyone else. So shore yourself up. Feel the strength in your skeleton, in your gut and in your mind.

Cancer rules the stomach and new Moons are a time of releasing so do a little cleansing inside and out.

Drink more water, eat light foods, give yourself a chance to start fresh.

If you change the direction of the emotional body in a way that feeds your cells, you will be able to bring the rest of your being into an alignment that serves you best.

During this New Moon, Pluto in Capricorn is opposing the Mars and Moon in Cancer gifting lasting strength and lasting transformative power to the structures you are building - inside and out.

This is how Mothers learn to see with the "eyes in the back of their head." They are really, in the dark of the Moon, learning to see from their center of power- a power which is best developed when the lights are out.

Before the next full Moon, Venus will go retrograde July 25 at 1 degree Virgo moving back into Leo. Venus will go direct once again on September 6 at 14 degrees Leo.

The cleansing and centering allowed during the Cancer new Moon will amplify the benefit received from reviewing, re- visioning and restoring of relationships with the self and others made during Venus retrograde.

The reformatting performed with the Creator that is You will be that much more useful and profound.

A big step on the path of being true to oneself is nurturing a relationship with and building responsibility for one's own emotional body.

And so it begins.
