MARS IN CAPRICORN TIME TO TURN PRO
Mars Moves into Capricorn this week – time to allow yourself to take off the training wheels. You may well be feeling the fire to take action on ideas. Your intuition has been helping you to brew these ideas while Mars was in the ivory tower of Sagittarius. Now is the time to start setting stones, writing drafts, drawing story boards, feeding your sourdough starter, putting pen to paper. Mercury has gone direct now, too, so he can’t be blamed for any heel dragging. Besides, you will only wear out good shoe leather doing that. Mars in Capricorn, soon to join up with Pluto in the same sign can transform the way you work and express yourself in the world – AND see real results. It is a time to use your skills and exhibit them at a higher level, in a more mature way. It’s time to own your mastery in your chosen area and go from amateur to pro. Take that sideline that you’ve been loving and see how you can make it your primary income. This all doesn’t have to start today, but feeling your way forward, right to the core of your being, has already begun. Making a physical or mental picture of all of your internal and external progress toward your vision for yourself can give you courage to becoming more and more conscious of how fulfillment feels. Feel the fruits of your dreams as if they are falling from your most beloved tree – how it feels to do things you love. Allow yourself to ease into doing the things you love more and more. Feel in your body how you will benefit yourself and others by giving your gift in a more and more committed fashion. Mars in Capricorn is mature, experienced, authoritative and ready. Pluto in Capricorn says your evolutionary intention will spur you on. So, wherever you may have been saying “not yet” – and you have been feeling an intuitive push that said, “yes, now,” well . . . Let the instinct that allows your knows your road map rise up. Step into your Power Act from that place. With the New Moon and Sun in Scorpio we have the second Eclipse in this Autumn’s cycle. Venus moves into Scorpio as well, to highlight the transformative power of love.
New Moons give us a time for allowing the emptiness and feeling the space in between things, ideas, actions. With the fertile soil that comes from the releasing we’ve done since the last full moon, we start with the seed of love inside the self and for the self. We feel its roots and allow it to expand outward. See how that expansion changes your life as Mercury goes direct now in Libra soon to be in Scorpio. See how you can communicate that love to every cell in your being and, in turn, start sharing it with the world. Scorpio energy has three traditional symbols – the Scorpion – scrappy, a great survivor that packs a mighty wallop. The Eagle –a powerhouse that sees the big picture from on high and can spot that which sustains it from a great distance. The Phoenix – the symbol of a being who is willing to sacrifice itself to the flames for the sake of transformation and rebirth. If you start to feel depleted, lost or off-base, just return to the idea of the love inside of yourself, for yourself and allow it to grow in you, filling you, radiating outward once again. As a touchstone during this time, you can see which symbol of Scorpio you identify with at the moment, and meditating on it, allow it to give you some information about how to proceed. The Love that the Source of all that is has for you is as much a part of your physical being as your heart and your blood. The yearning to join with Source energy – whatever you may call it, drives the soul forward on its journey. The fuel is love. An eclipse meeting with the first degree of Scorpio joined by Venus in Scorpio means that the transformative power, the drive to move with the ultimate evolutionary goal of meeting with All That Is, is going to be initiated by love. With the Full Moon in Aries begins this fall’s eclipse cycle. Along with it, we have a Mercury retrograde in Libra (for most of the retrograde motion). Aries is about instinctually creating our way through life –feeling our way as it is an Aries Moon. Libra is about how we relate, with whom, and what we find out about ourselves through our relating. We move along the spectrum of that polarity to find a working balance of who we are as we share the world with others. Questions of what fuels your fire are going to come up with the Grand Fire Trine Mars in Sagittarius, Jupiter in Leo and Uranus in Aries (conjunct the Full Moon). The Air of the Sun in Libra feeds the Fire of Mars – our physical vitality, our sexual energy needing to follow it’s intuition to find the Truth. Jupiter, the expansive one, the one that shines the light on the way to Truth is in Leo saying my gut and my intuition are telling me I have a special purpose to fulfill and must follow road to my special purpose. And Uranus, the genius, the higher aspect of Mercury, the knower who doesn’t know how he knows, the traumatized one - is currently retrograde in Aries. He will follow his instincts - forward and backward in time - to find that genius - that special purpose – and woe betide the one who gets in his way. So, with all of that vital, wild, creative energy lighting you up; which the Full Moon will illuminate – reflect on this: where are your relationships - with yourself and others - feeding your fire to evolve and create and where are they dampening your Spirit? How is your self-talk? Are you relating to yourself as a cherished loved one? With the Mercury retrograde, can you go back and have a chat with yourself at age 3, at 7 at 9 at 15, at 29 – pick some pivotal ages in your life. What would you tell these selves? What reassurance can you give them knowing what you know now? What can you tell yourself through your ages that might soothe some of the mistakes made and harms done and dreams unfulfilled? Go for it. Mercury retrograde is a gift – of messages unopened or previously not entirely understood – So travel in meditation, in a letter, to yourself across the spectrum of your life (lives) and give yourself messages of love and encouragement. That way, the You of now can move on in a clear and loving way to fulfilling the desires you are propelled and fueled at this time to fulfill. The cardinal Full Moon eclipse will portend a culmination leading to new beginnings. The Libra Mercury Retrograde will allow for some housekeeping to be done -- cleaning up the corners of relationships past with yourself and others - -so you can step more fully onto your unfolding path – especially once Mercury goes direct just two days after the New Moon Eclipse on October 23. So allow yourself to be lit up! Allow the shadowy spots of your past actions to be illuminated and integrated. Look at your present and past relationships with yourself and others and take with you useful lessons learned.
