Fire Breathing The full moon is in Sagittarius- a mutable fire sign. Sagittarius’ ruler, Jupiter, has now resumed forward motion after the retrograde cycle that ended on May 9th. Jupiter is currently in Virgo, calling for a look-see at how we intuit the truth. The Sun is now in Mercury- ruled Gemini. Mercury will resume forward motion on May 22nd and integration of the recent retrograde cycle can begin. We will start to see on the outer some of the ideas that we have been calling into consciousness from the great beyond. Retrograde Mars will conjunct the Sagittarius full Moon, giving us an incredible opportunity to sync our intuition with our physical vehicle in a very deep way – right down to the marrow. It is an opportunity for a deepening of the relationship between our body and that which truly drives our physical body and its energy on the Earth plane. So close your eyes and dance! Lie on the ground and allow the body to tell you what to think and even more what you Know. Fell the inner fire burn away what no longer serves and leave you with the gold of your own Truth. The Sun in Gemini is taking a big breath in. Gemini rules the lungs in the physical body. We can breathe in and the blow on the fire of our lives to feed the flames of inspiration and the embers of what we see to be true Gemini loves to gather shiny bits of information. Sagittarius helps us to shoot the arrow to the heart of the matter to pinpoint what piece of information will help us to Know how to proceed. It is important to winnow down the information we've brought back from the Mercury retrograde and see what is truly useful to us now. Sagittarius helps us to work with the truth. We may have accepted ideas and habits and statements that are no longer true for us or never were true at all. Jupiter expands things and helps us to see where things may have gotten blown out of proportion. We have an opportunity now to bring the pieces of our lives down to their right size. We have an unusual occurrence of TWO Sagittarius full Moons in a row, so the energy of allowing the flame off your own Truth to grow within you is active all month. When we blow on the fire it flares up for a moment and then settles back down. It flares and, perhaps spreads a bit, then settles. We can do this now with the full Moon in Sag, Sun in Gemini. Breathe on the flame, get a clearer picture of how much space the different components of the life are filling, and we can better adjust, from there, what elements – ideas, practices, relationships, things, want to be brought into a new and honed balance that works best for you now. Let your intuition light the way. Much love, Lydia Certified Evolutionary Astrologer www.soulastro.com [email protected]

The energy of Taurus Earthy and receptive. Grasping and striving are not the way now. Feeling into what you want is the way. Jupiter in Virgo will resume forward motion on May 9th. Inner expansion leads to expansion on the outer, so blossoming and radiance will ensue. The New Moon in Taurus is fixed. It doesn’t turn on a dime and it is reasonably good at allowing things to unfold, just as we don’t pull up a spring bud to ask it when it will give us some fruit. Taurus is focused on security. Aries bursts out and says hi to the world, planting seeds of life. Taurus sticks around to mind what has been planted, tending to it, putting down it’s own roots as the garden grows. Taurus is a creature of habit. Once ingrained, the habits can stick for life – sometimes way beyond their usefulness – the initial reason for being adopted into the daily mix nearly forgotten. As we have many retrograde planets at the moment, Pluto, Saturn, Mercury, Mars – it is a good time to review our habits and see if some need to be weeded out. With Pluto in Capricorn we can look at how we are relating to the care and feeding of our soul, how we are relating to our Higher Self. With Saturn in Sagittarius we can look at our own inner authority and sense of timing and see if it meshes with how we are relating in the outer. With Mercury in Taurus, we can review how we value ourselves with our self talk – the words and thoughts that are running – and how they help to shape our day. And with Mars, we can look at how we are spending our energy on all levels, especially physically. Are nerves needing to be calmed, can our feet on the ground help to bring us in concert with ourselves, and then, in turn, with the world at large. With Mars retrograde in Sagittarius, at the time of the new moon we can feel into our own intuitive body, our own inner learning and wisdom as it sits in our physical system. Is our inner system in tune with our habit – guiding us when and how to move. Taurus is about values and value systems. How we love and care for ourselves on all levels: the food we eat, how we spend our time, our home, our inner conversation. A new Taurus Moon is the perfect time to sip a cup of tea in the garden and gently ruminate on how much we love ourselves and how we allow that love to cycle through our bodies and our lives. Taurus is learning to be self reliant. So during this new Moon, we can turn down the outside noise and go to our inner room in the quiet and soft darkness to discern, to ask What is valuable for me? What is valuable to me? How can I care for myself best on all levels? What new habits can I bring in? What other ones are being toned down or eased out altogether to make room for the new ones? It can be adding one more turn around the block when you go outside to check the garden. It can be 30 more minutes of rest or sleep a day. Sometimes it is a tweak in the routine, some things need a bigger, more gradual overhaul. Taurus doesn’t like to be bullied or pushed. Taurus likes to come to an idea on its on and amble over to see if it smells nice. Remember, Taurus is ruled by Venus. So let love and attraction lead the way. Allow yourself to be moved by what feels good. If we allow ourselves to be moved naturally in sync with what we want, it comes to us more gently and in perfect timing. The question to keep asking as the new ideas and practices become habit is does this still illustrate how I value myself, my body, my time? The answer can change day to day. We are always moving and changing and evolving. Love, Lydia Certified Evoluotionary Astrologer www.soulastro.com [email protected] |
