The Aries New moon is the first new Moon of the astrological year. Typically a time when the head is boiling over with ideas and desperate to get out and put those ideas into action.
Aries rules the head. It is a fire sign and Mars is its ruling planet. Venus is currently retrograde in Aries – until April 15. Mars is currently in Taurus, which is ruled by Venus. Sooo, some of that hot headed energy is busy finishing up projects that need to get done before we can start new projects. You may want to finish affixing the legs to the work table you've been crafting for months before you expect that table to support the new projects you are desperate to build. So, I’m not saying don't start anything new at the moment. I am saying new projects may go more smoothly after Venus starts going direct in about three weeks. I share this because if there is a two steps forward one step back feeling that could be why. Venus may be checking any forward motion with questions like – is this a safe step to be making? Is it true to the path I want to be on and true to my values? Jupiter is also retrograde in Libra – the sign opposite to Aries. At this new moon there may be a feeling that relationships must be considered when we act. Relationships must be considered as we expand into new arenas of our lives. The relationships may not be current ones. We may be feeling the effects of past relationships and need to review how certain relationships have affected our actions and our decisions in life. We can take time to consider if we are doing things driven by our own guidance or by the influence of others. This isn't a bad or good thing, necessarily, just an area to bring into our conscious mind. Aries doesn't always want to think before it acts. It wants to go on instinct which is a big part of the Aries lesson- learning to trust the gut. This new Moon in Aries, however, is tempered by additional forces, additional considerations. What effect will my plans and actions have on my safety, security and values? What effect will my plans and actions have on certain if my relationships? Do I want to put those plans and actions into play now? Do I want to let them gestate a bit? This is asking a lot of Aries energy which is raw power, typically. So, I recommend finding safe and less risky areas to let off steam during this time. That way, the bigger stuff can remain under consideration and be rolled out with some planning and foresight. 💗Lydia www.soulastro.com [email protected]

VIRGO FULL MOON 2017
The full Virgo Moon invites us to bathe in the truth of who we are as a whole. Not just the bits we like or the bits we don't like. We must include who we are right now, where we have been and where we want to be; at his moment, the embodiment of our present, historic and potential selves. When we see and feel ourselves in this MoonLight,, bathe in it and allow its bigness, we can truly accept the here and now self. Virgo assesses and reviews and chocks it all up to experience, to practice, to learning. Virgo can be forgiving and healing. She's the one that minds our personal gate to the life we truly want. What must be dropped at that gate is artifice and self delusion and comparison to others and coming up shorter or taller than others. Virgo know the level of authenticity we can muster at any moment and she opens the gate when we can admit that level to ourselves. Virgo is a SELF regulator. Cruel judgement is not helpful here. Virgo is a transitional archetype. Virgo asks, what have you made of yourself so far? Not as a scorecard of accomplishments. What ARE you, so far? As you consider the gate that leads to you, as an Expression in the world, how will your expression move through the world from this moment on. The polarity to the Sun in Pisces has us dreaming hoping wishing designing deluded and at times delighted with the self we see in the watery misty reflection of our own and others eyes. Virgo wipes the fog from that mirror, asks us to feel the cool tile floor of the bathroom and demands, like a best best friend, that we look at our real shiny selves, as we are fresh from the bath, and start from there. Venus is retrograding back through Aries and into Pisces; turning direct on April 15. We may be reminded of people and pedestals and dreams and decisions that we have made in regard to the creative direction of our lives in times past. Do we go down the same road again? If so, we likely have a clearer vision of the trek this time. Informed by experience and our own carved out wisdom, we can choose our way once again. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac. We will embark on fresh starts when the Sun moves into Aries on March 20th. This time, now, allows us to experience the full pool of our past present and future life and to see what bobs up in the water to be considered and, perhaps continued. To be reviewed and released, to be visioned and allowed. Have a float, real or imagined and see what bobs up in your inner ocean. Action is not yet required in the outer. The floating is the action. For right now. Mars is in Taurus until April 21st. Actions will have a steady rollout if you are rested, bathed, fed, and encouraged. 💗 Much love, Lydia www.soulastro.com [email protected] |
