AQUARIUS FULL MOON 2021
The full Moon is at one degree 25 minutes Aquarius at 10:36 PM EST on 23 July A powerful combo is the Full Moon in Aquarius and Sun in the sign it rules: Leo. Lightning bolts jolt us out of the beach chair enlivening the creative lines in our bodies and spirits. Fiery Leo is fed by the winds of Aquarius. If we are expecting the unexpected we can be open to new pathways to creative self expression, generosity and love. When we give from our essence, the energy emanating from that creativity can warm and encourage and feed those who are receptive to its touch. And of course, it feeds the creator, too. Jupiter will retrograde into Aquarius on 29 July. The Greater Benefic – that’s Jupiter - invites us to expand into our creative gift that we can share with the community of life. What can we give that helps, inspires, solves, contributes to this with whom we share this adventure. Leo is creative self expression. Aquarius draws that creative self expression out of the solitary experience into the shared experience. We can post an encouraging talk on all of the platforms. We can share a joke that takes someone’s day in a new and uplifted direction. We can add a piece to the puzzle of a solution in a community meeting on the environment or traffic issues or air quality conversations. We don’t have to be physically out and about in the world to participate in the community. Aquarius likes to be a lone Wolf and it also likes to engage with friends, colleagues and comrades. Finding a way to stick our hand out, add our voice, share our wisdom, lend our creativity in constructive ways is called for now. It feels good to do something. It feels good to bring something to the table. We don’t all have to bring a 3-tiered confection of multicolored buttercream. Just think of that one person who remembered to bring the lowly but crucial vial of salt to the picnic. We all have something to bring to the table or we wouldn’t be here. Leo Sun and Aquarius full Moon can help us to align with what to bring, when to bring it and where to offer it. Venus is in Virgo adding practicality and a good sense of timing to how we can participate in a useful way to the whole. Virgo is also the healer of the zodiac. Our contributions to and participation toward the common good can help to heal individual and collective trauma. It can feel good to take an action – large, small or anywhere in between. Planting a living thing helps the air quality for all, gives a landing place for pollinators and helps to cool off the city, for example. Remembering all that we are already doing for our own good and the good of the group is a step in the right direction, too. Are you raising a child in a thoughtful way? Are you encouraging a downhearted friend? Are you sharing your artwork online? Are you telling your story? Are you tuning in to universal consciousness, nature spirits, devas, and the angelic realms in meditation and in daily life? Are you asking for help? Are you teaching someone how you got out of a particular hole? Are you saying hello to someone at the shop or on the street? Little, medium, big— who knows which is which? We can do what we can do. That old chestnut “take the action and let go of the results” is a wise adage in these times. Not knowing who we are inspiring, or whose life we’ve made a bit (or a lot) better is part of the creative fun! Mercury enters Leo on 29 July to remind us to add our voice to the chorus. We are not on the life trip alone and there are so many ways we can dip our toes in the water of the shared experience- even if we aren’t ready or able to physically able to take a dip with everyone else at the local pond or pool. Leo brings warmth, creativity and generosity. Aquarius brings the camaraderie, the flashes of brilliance that come from the Higher Mind and the energy of the group. As fixed signs they have a lot of oomph once they decide to take an action. Together they can make real change, evolution and solutions. Okay! The sun is out. The lightning will strike. See what they illuminate and join your light to theirs. If you want. 😊🌻😊🦁😊⚡️⚡️💜 Lots of love at this powerful full Moon. Lydia www.soulastro.com [email protected]

CANCER NEW MOON 2021
The New Moon is at 18 degrees Cancer on 9 July 2021 at 9:16 PM EST. The Cancer new Moon reminds us that we are made up of mostly water and that the time and tide push and pull at us a bit less when we go with their flow. Tide is Cancer and Time is Cancer’s polarity to Capricorn- ruled by Saturn, the lord over time. We are at the new Moon, under the dark cloak of the Moon – who rules the sign of Cancer. It is the new Mooniest new Moon of the year. A crab is nibbling at our toes as we sink them deeper into the sand trying to gain purchase as the emotional body slides this way and that in the shallows. Which way is up? What can we eat to make us feel better? How can we engage with, escape from feelings? How can we be mirrored by or affected the actions of others in regard to our emotions? Cancer rules the stomach. How can we soothe and satiate the self on the physical and all other levels without entirely being consumed by our appetites or by extended time spent under the duvet? Ah, Cancer. Mars and Virgo in sunny Leo can divert focus over to the drive to create. What do we want to whip up at the moment? New recipes, new love, family fun, a heightened sense of generosity or drama? The Leo Mars/Venus are squaring Uranus in Taurus who wants to dredge up some revolution, some unexpected ideas, some freedom, some rebellion, some new friends- or old comrades we haven’t seen in ages. Mercury, the lower octave of Uranus, moves into Cancer on July 12th asking us to have a comforting conversation with ourselves about how we are feeling. Venus/Mars are in opposition to Saturn retrograde in Aquarius – more Uranian energy channeled through the structure and timing of our lives. At the very least, change your date night! Change the channel, speak in a different language, and see what ideas come from looking at things and hearing things from a different angle, a different perspective. Then run all of that through the tummy of the Cancer Sun/Moon conjunction – the New Moon - and see how if all we have been taking in is assimilating into our system. Resting under the duvet with the window cracked open is also a great approach. The Cardinal energy of Cancer likes to retreat and begin again – the crab scuttles in a sideways fashion- not forward in a straight line. The New Moon is each Month’s new beginning and each new day starts best when we are well rested, followed by well fed, clothed, and with loving words from our Self to our self. We gain energy, intuition, insight and the desire to start again within a recalibrated schedule or structure of our day. Cancer’s natural polarity is to Capricorn— ruler of time and structure. Cancer rules the tide. So, time and tide. We are mostly water and we operate in the construct of time. Allowing our physical structure to expand into the ocean of all that is via intention, meditation, sleep can bring us to a new shore- a somewhat familiar, somewhat different and alien landscape – on which to start again. Happy Floating. Lots of love, Lydia www.soulastro.com [email protected] |
