VIRGO NEW MOON 2016

We are starting September with a #VirgoNewMoon and a solar #eclipse.
New Moons are a time of release and rest before we begin again. Virgo is all about letting go of excess inventory on all levels.
Mercury, ruler of Virgo,will be retrograde until September 21 and the Equinox.
We have a bigger request from our higher selves than usual for the #newMoon and #Mercuryretrograde. The added oomph of the eclipse says RELEASE it. If it's not working don't do it any more!
Turn on your heel 180 degrees and see how it feels to walk in the totally other direction!
#Mercury rules Virgo. He's the messenger of the gods and in Virgo I might usually pussyfoot around a Mercury Retrograde and say, refine, review, repeat, rewrite, etc etc. which is all well and fine.
It feels namby pamby to me, this time, though. Jupiter, the Greater Benific, is conjunct Mercury and is calling for expansion, a big wide new beginning.
This New Moon Eclipse, review it and if it feels right to do so – just drop it in l the Universal recycling bin. Release it to the cosmic mother and sit in a big circle of white hot/cold emptiness for a minute/ an hour/ a week and see what arises.
Let Nature take that vacuum and give you back something completely unrecognizable and new and way bigger and in keeping with your current #vibration.
Virgo is an Earth sign. Virgo is a #mutable sign. Good mulch looks nothing like the leaf that made it. Applesauce looks nothing like an apple!

We have an Aquarius Full Moon eclipse opposing Sun in Leo. Uranus,ruler of Aquarius, is making a happy aspect to the Sun And full Moon.
We are being called to break out of some of our self-focused time and spend it in community – or, at least, with one friend. If you've been playing the guitar alone, it could be beneficial to have a sing song or session with some other musicians.
If you've been painting on the mountain top alone, perhaps collaborate with someone who works in a totally different style or medium.
And because Aquarian energy calls for the unusual, try painting or writing with your non-dominant hand. The result may not be perfect, but inspiration and new technique may come from the exercise, as well as a deepened connection with the cosmic artistic impulse.
At the moment we also have Mars and Saturn conjunct in Sagittarius. Like Aquarius, Sag likes its freedom. There is a lot of physical/mental and emotional up and available.. Expansion is the way to connect with and make the most of this energy. Allow yourself to take up more space than usual. Allow your ideas to be big and don't try to rein them in. If your feelings are going big - laugh louder, cry harder, stamp your feet! We act as lightning rods for universal wisdom at this time. The stamping feet will also help with grounding of the influx of info.
Talk about the same old issue in a new way. Have dinner at the communal table at the restaurant. Sleep on the other side of the bed and let the universe whisper in your ear and influence your dreams. The universe could also get in touch with a sudden thunder storm or a loud night owl neighbor.
This full Moon’s expansive and freedom loving influence will allow for a connection with that which is usually beyond our reach. That is the gift of Aquarius.

The Sun and Moon are in Leo. Leo has the need to express itself creatively, in its own voice, via its own hand. It feels it came into being for this special purpose.
When the Moon is in the dark phase in Leo, the creativity may be in seed form, not yet manifesting.
This is not a block. It is just part of the process. That time spent in a restful state – staring at the ceiling or at the clouds passing overhead is a necessary restful state. The mind and heart can be allowed some stasis. No striving for fresh ideas or making even one mark - just resting in the cosmic swirl.
The Leo new Moon is simply a quiet allowing of the creation that each one of us, inherently, is.
Leo Is a fixed fire sign – a fire that may have a long slow burn with periodic flarings up.
Allowing the embers to smolder during the new Moon is just fine. When the Moon moves on, that time of stasis, of equilibrium, will naturally give way to the manifestation of the creative fire on the outer.
Lions spend a good bit of time, in the heat of the day, resting in the shade, watching the cubs frolic and snoozing. This new Moon, finding that restful place in or out of the Sun, will lead, in time, to a roar of unique creative expression.
The Leo new Moon aligns with Lammas – the Celtic first harvest festival that celebrates the lord of light. Baking of bread is the tradition at this time. It is customary to reflect on what fruit of creation has been born so far this year. Gratitude will sow seeds of yet more creation.
PS Leo rules the heart and Leo is generous! I am starting this new Moon grateful for the heart muscle that is the drumbeat of my life and I am treating it to a nice long lie down.💗🦁🌄
