TAURUS FULL MOON SUN IN SCORPIO
Here is an astrological Power polarity- Scorpio and Taurus. These fixed signs will get things done. The deep desire for transformation and the intense drive to survive and thrive allows us to commit to our own evolution. Venus, ruler of Taurus continues Retrograde motion until November 16. The Taurus Full Moon is in opposition to Venus at 4 degrees Scorpio. The way we feel about relationships, historically, is up for review and transformation. Perhaps we will dream about the one we left behind, didn’t choose long term, the one who left us. We have an opportunity see another facet of the story. Perhaps we have been romanticizing a dynamic that wasn’t, in retrospect, for our best and highest development or happiness. Perhaps going a different route at that time has lead us to wonderful unfoldment. Perhaps we wouldn’t have wanted to miss the relationship that came next – the one with the self or with another. Taurus is a very instinctual sign and we can look at how our instinct for our own care, development, value, time, education, health, prosperity lead us to make the choices we make in our relationships to ourselves and others. The Venus retrograde can help us to review where we’ve been in regard to those choices. We have an opportunity to forgive ourselves and others for the choices we’ve made that have lead to the unfoldment we consequently experienced. The review can be bittersweet. The Sun and Venus are in Scorpio. Scorpio in the guise of the Phoenix is willing to dive into the fire of transformation in order to be reborn in its next stronger, wiser, more connected iteration. It takes courage to be willing to take that dive. Scorpio sometimes skitters backward from the ledge. It doesn’t dive — yet. It wants all to be revealed and fears what could be the all consuming flash of Source’s revelation. The Venus retrograde can help it see what has and hasn’t “worked” in the past and that review can build courage to go for what comes next. Taurus is learning self reliance. It is delving into the relationship with itself, sometimes to the exclusion of all else. Scorpio is learning to share resources — the “many hands make light work” approach… or at least, the “if you find my startup, I can get it off the ground” approach. Taurus wants to know it can do it under its own steam. For Scorpio, sharing resources is part of the adventure. In Evolutionary Astrology, Libra is learning about itself through relationship. Scorpio, is learning through Union — marriage, consummation. The Lovers card in tarot shows the third entity that is created when we have a deep connection with another – the overnighting being that holds the blueprint for what will be created together with another. With the full Taurus Moon and Sun in Scorpio we feel our own blueprint. We look to what that angelic presence could feel like that is created in relationship with others. Allowing a consideration of the divine/our higher self into equations is invited now. We are at different places on the polarity between Taurus and Scorpio depending on which relationship we are considering. We even may bring a different aspect of our being to each one of our relationships. We can return home to ourselves in Taurus, and feel the baseline of our being, review who and how we are with others. We can see what we give, where we react, respond and meet the other. Are my relationships in line with what and how and who I value? Rumination is done by bovine creatures. Retrogrades are a time for a bit of rest and rumination. And snacks. The veil between the worlds is thin at this time. Feel what is at the outer reaches of the field. We are so much more than we let on. Nearly at Samhain, Blessed Be All. LIBRA NEW MOON 2018
The new Moon in Libra gives us more than a new beginning in the realm if our relationships. The ruler of Libra and Taurus is Venus. On October 5 Venus began retrograde motion at 11 degrees Scorpio. Venus will move back through to 25 degrees Libra and will resume forward motion on 16 November. Venus is retrograde the least often of any of the planets, so this is a rare opportunity to gather Venusian strength and wisdom. With the Retrograde time spent with Sun in Libra and Scorpio, as well, it is a fruitful time to delve into the way we relate to and care for ourselves and how that radiates our to our relationships with others and the world around us. Already, in the past week I’ve had long catch-up conversations with friends I’ve not seen our spoken to in years. These are the friends whose patterns I see and recognize and they see, recognize and call on my patterns. Diving back through the relationships in this lifetime can call up resonances of other lives, too. And as we move into Sun in Scorpio time we get our costumes/ceremonial gear together to mark the turning of the wheel of the year, and walk about in the archetypal vibration of some of our other selves. Some aspects during the retrograde will give focal points to the inner work/review/reflection: Venus squares Uranus at 0 degrees Taurus on October 31, and at 29 Aries on November 30, 2018; Venus squares the North & South Node October 30, and November 28, 2018. The squares to Uranus may give a time slip feeling to our relationships – we have an opportunity to tap into our universal selves and we can experience significant others across time and space if it is pertinent to our experience/healing/desire. With the square to the nodes we may pick up some pieces of our relationship puzzle/mystery in regard to how and why we connect. And, it is a new Libra Moon on October 8. We can release ourselves from ideas around who we are in relationship, who we think we need to be and how we should look/act/feel. Libra makes a natural cardinal square to Capricorn and Cancer. Whoever we’ve placed in the role of authority in our lives: parents, teachers, bosses, spiritual leaders, governmental figureheads, are all up for review. Libra is an air sign and it is concerned with thoughts and ideas and points of view. Like a photographer, it ponders if it likes the look of things- whether they are fashions we wear or the shape of things to come in our society. Libra may say yes when others say know no in order to experience that mindset. It may then say no when others say yes or maybe to experience opinions on the continuum. The retrograde Venus gives us each a time to reflect on our own histories, experiences, desires, relationships from new and different angles. Perhaps we are ready to remember things from the other’s point of view. When we can see our lives, our history, from all directions, understanding, peace and healing can be a result. A bigger perspective is the purview of Scorpio in the guise of the Eagle. Venus will retrograde in Scorpio until Oct 30 when Venus moves back into Libra. The retrograde Venus is somewhat comfortable during the Libra Sun time. Cardinal signs like to begin things. They then may react with a “what did I just do? What ball did I just get rolling?” The two steps forward, one step back signature of cardinal signs is a natural progression. It’s like going back to stir the soup, to clean up the art supplies as we move forward with our creation and at the same time we make another stroke of the brush, we edit and change a word from this to that. Circling back around we are able to hone into what we realize is important to us. We find the lesson or the refined path. Highways are fast but are a bore. The scenic route is usually a richer choice. Thank you for reading, and all the very best to you, Lydia Trettis Evolutionary Astrologer www.soulastro.com [email protected] |
