PISCES FULL MOON 2018
The Sun is now in Virgo and the full Moon is in Pisces. Virgo’s ruler, Mercury, has resumed forward motion on Leo, moving into Virgo on 5 September. Mars goes direct on August 27th and we can prepare to see all of that inner reclaiming and reviewing and renovating that we’ve been working on all summer manifest shiny and redone on the outer. At the full Pisces Moon we have a grand earth trine: Uranus at 2 degrees Taurus retrograde, Saturn at 3 degrees Capricorn retrograde, and the Sun at 4 degrees of Virgo. There is a sextile from Uranus and Saturn to the full Moon, as well. One could do a meditation within the triangle of the Earth signs, with the Moon up above, calibrating the vibrations of the earth and water in the physical body. Uranus can bring the cosmic into the physical at this time as well. With Saturn and Uranus retrograde, let the inner be the guide. There is still much to be found in the inner depths. Let that which no longer matches your vibrations float downstream. This meditative bath will prepare the self on all levels for Mars’ return to forward motion. Our inner desire nature has been in review. They can begin to be released as Mars moves through the latter degrees of Capricorn and into Aquarius on 10 September. Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac. It holds all of the energy of all the signs and has understanding of each. A reflection of the past year, and a review of how life has unfolded since the last Pisces full Moon on September 6, 2017 can be helpful now. Some dreams wishes hopes and desires have likely been made manifest since last year at this time – from a new pair of hiking shoes, to an evolved spiritual practice, to a refined way of relating to the self and others. Reflection on what has manifested that feels good and likewise on that which has been a confirmation of what we don’t want in our lives are both useful. It is easier, at this time, to connect with the entire pool of consciousness and bring into the everyday mind—Mercury-ruled Virgo— the Truth of our ability to attract what we want while in human form. Virgos like to clean house and organize thoughts and things so that there is room for manifestation of what is new and appropriate in the here and now. Virgo knows how to bring dreams and goals into the actual life. It knows the launch pad can’t have a bunch of old cans and newspapers lying around, or the rocket will catch fire from the detritus and never leave the ground. What others want for you is not the key here. Taurus in Uranus, in its trine to Saturn is moving away from the old rule book on what life should look like – from parents, religion, corporations and advertisers. It also may turn its back on how social media defines what a successful/enlightened life can look like, and says “yah, thanks for the ideas, my higher self and I have got it from here. Keeping the focus on the self in Virgo is key. It wants to see what helps the ego and personality and soul to individuate and what isn’t necessary for growth. Keep what works and release the rest. Make room and shine up what you are keeping, honoring that which does continue to serve. Virgo can get snagged by its own ideas of being good enough. Start from where you are with Virgo Sun and gather all the love and compassion for your self from the big Pisces full Moon shining down on you. Connect with your own vibration, let go of barnacles of doubt and seaweed tangles of dreams that no longer suit, and allow the bigger stream of your own consciousness to open up and guide the way. Virgo knows exactly how to follow the path, on Earth, of cosmic consciousness. Bring snacks and a flashlight. Virgo is ever practical. Lots of love, Lydia www.soulastro.com [email protected]

LEO NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE
AUGUST 11, 2018 The new Leo moon solar eclipse is the last of this 3-eclipse cycle. Those of us who have planets aspecting the 18-degree Leo New Moon may feel it most. A Leo New Moon invites us to start fresh in the area of creative self expression. We can see what we want to say and how we want to say it. We can look at what feels authentic at this time. In artistic terms, we could use a new medium or paint an entirely new subject or incorporate a new style. In daily life we can tune into our physical vibration, that which emanates from us, and feel if it has some stuff hanging around that we don’t want to take with us as the moon starts, once again, to wax. Leo rules the heart. It expresses itself through everything it says and does, even by the way it enters a room. We can look at any aspect of our lives here and see if it is contributing to what we want to create in our lives. If I want to feel confident and at ease, it helps me to hold my physical body in a confident, relaxed posture when I walk around the town. If I want to be a happy healthy cook, I learn recipes that feed me on all levels — I don’t just read recipes and continue to eat microwaved dinners. I participate in the creation that is me. Mercury is retrograde in Leo until August 18, so you can see there is time for reflection here around how creating and manifesting in life, and how thinking -Mercury- and the creative nature of thoughts- will help to create the life that you want. Mars will be retrograde until August 27, the day before the next full Moon. Mars is retrograde in Capricorn. We have, since the retrograde started on June 26, been, revamping, or thinking about revamping, structures in our lives. We are looking at whose rules we have been following and the idea that we want to make and follow our own guidelines. We evaluate what timelines we need or no longer need to follow. It’s a good time to revamp the physical space in which to create – or find a new space altogether. Streamlining schedules allows for more rest, more creativity, more fun. Uranus had a stationary retrograde on August 7 and will be retrograde until early next year. Subconscious memories may affect us at this time. We may awake having had a flash of insight that brings clarity and potential for relief from longstanding issues. Self-care, grounding, breathing and some laughter all help to move things through the physical system as Uranus, for now, is retrograde in Taurus. Allowing excess nervous energy to pour out through the bottoms of our feet will help to regulate how much extra vibration we can take on. Uranus is the higher expression of Mercury and your higher self/the universe may be wanting to get in touch. Connect with the heart, feel the grass under the feet, and listen.
