SCORPIO FULL MOON 2021
The Full Moon is at 7 Degrees Scorpio on 26 April 11:31 PM EST. Of course, the Sun in Taurus directly opposes it. It is a called the Pink Moon because the Phlox bloom at this time of year in some gardens.. My Creeping Phlox are out in lovely lavender as I write this post. Joining the Sun in beauty- comfort- and safety-loving Taurus are Mercury, Venus, and Uranus. The full Moon is squaring Saturn in Aquarius bringing a desire for a structure for the change and inspiration that is afoot. Get a bigger vision board, we may well need it… And make it 3D. 😊 The Scorpio Moon is in a trine to its watery cousin Cancer, reminding us to heed the emotionally-charged water that courses through our bodies and brains, and that we can “feel our way” through ideas, circumstances, and changes. Scorpio will share resources with others, marshalling strength from what exists so that its energy can be spent leveling up in its area of focus. Taurus wants to find is own way, saying “I want to do it myself.” At the Scorpio full Moon we are wise to discern when to reach out and when to be self contained. Both have their time and place. It is well to know how to change one’s own lightbulbs and when to borrow a taller ladder from a neighbor rather than teetering on a pile of boxes to do the job. Both Scorpio and Taurus have their careful natures. Taurus values physical comfort, security, and familiarity. Scorpio values access to its own power. When giving over to a power greater than itself… Universal power, for example, it can hesitate. It also wants to individuate and think, for a while, that its power is self-generated. It typically is reminded that the real power comes from letting go and allowing in the bigger, more expansive Energies. Experience, experimentation, education can all be connectors to the power of All That Is. Does this make sense? Meditating and resting can allow the words to sink in and find a way to sync up with each individual’s Soul and Personality mindset and their own flow of understanding. The Moon is the way to evolution and transformation. The emotions – those we are aware of and those we are not — lead us onward. The Scorpio (the evolver the and transformer) full Moon, therefore, is a potent time to have a look at our current path and how we are evolving into the next iteration of the Self. Some transformations happen in a flash… others happen so slowly we barely notice the incremental steps that brought us someplace entirely new. Many transformations are someplace in between. When we are in touch with our own habits, comfort zones, ouch points, and desires we can be as open as we can be to the lightning quick, the slowly unfolding, and the good orderly direction varieties of change, transformation, and empowerment. The Scorpio Full Moon happens but once a year. Stand in the glow of its pink power… and empowerment. Much love, Lydia www soulastro.com [email protected]

ARIES NEW MOON 2021
On 11 April at 10:30 PM EST the first new Moon of the astrological year is at 22 degrees Aries. Venus is conjunct the Sun and Moon inviting us to celebrate ourselves, the mere fact that we are here, blood pumping, experiencing human life in all of its hues and variety. Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac: a pure burst of instinctual, initiatory energy singing, Here I am, World!” We may access the exuberance to spring forth and gladly announce the arrival of some new energy – to ourselves, and, perhaps, to others. It’s a bit like we can all celebrate a kind of birthday, a new beginning at this Aries new Moon. A first birthday – one where the pure potential of life force may prompt a yip, a whoop, a giggle, a scream, a cry — or perhaps all of the above. Our voice signals to all who can hear, “I am here…” in all the glory of the physical and emotional body to investigate, experiment and experience human life on Earth. In Evolutionary Astrology Mars is the subjective desire nature, the instinctual yearning for continuous being, becoming, unfoldment, and change. We need a sense of freedom to make space to experiment, experience, adapt, and adopt. Mars in Gemini is squaring Neptune in Pisces at this new Moon. Our actions may be informed by more than the ordinary reality at the moment. We may be linked to friends and even strangers in far off places and timelines by vision, statements, or memories that may or may not be our own. They could be from a past life, from history, from our best friend’s ancestor, or from an adjoining universe or reality. Watching the words we use and being mindful that what we speak today can become reality sooner than we could imagine. Words really can bring about action and form. With Mercury also in Aries, the distance from thought to word to action to result could be nearly simultaneous. This week’s Mercury/Chiron conjunction is also a reminder of how thoughts and memories and the way we welcome them, treat them and process them can indicate the path to present and future ideas and experiences. Pluto in Capricorn squaring the Aries Sun and Moon refers us to the instinctual drives that affect the structure of our reality and of future realities that result from our desires, actions, and evolution. The moon and emotional body illuminate the path of evolution. With an Aries new Moon our instincts and emotions are on the surface: primal, childlike, tender, and wanting to be seen, heard, and appreciated. Give the inner child a bit of what it wants this new Moon. No need to wait til it is screaming for ice cream or a cuddle or some time with funny TV. Giving in to some childlike desires can lead to feelings of security, comfort, and appreciation. The heart and mind may then open to inspiration and new worlds of possibility. So happy first New Moon of the astrological year. Howling, yammering, and giggling like a maniac or like a little baby are highly recommended. The exultation will be an invocation to the adventure that can be embarked upon each new day of this life on Earth. Lots of love, Lydia www.soulastro.com [email protected] |
