Cancer New Moon New Moons are that beautiful time for endings and beginnings. Cancer is an initiatory, cardinal water sign, ruled by the Moon. Now is a time for emotional culminations and new starts. With cardinal signs we have some feelings of insecurity around what we start and we might retreat a bit. That’s okay. With Mercury retrograde for a few more days, we are in a bit of a begin/review/begin cycle anyway. The alignment of the Sun, Moon and Jupiter in Cancer is calling us to more expansive, move into our truth, to see where our authentic selves take us. It is a wonderful time to turn inward and experiment with what makes us feel truly secure. Not the fleeting sense of security that comes with what or who we have in our lives – romance/finance/job/connections On the inner, when we go inside and shut the door on the outer world – what is it at our core that gives us the interest, the strength, the inspiration to be ourselves. What gives us the motivation, the desire, the courage to do what we came to do in this life – or if that is a bit too big – then what gives us the flow to do what we need to do for our authentic selves this day, this week, this month. Sure, we are imprinted by family, history, by society of origin, by cultural and political rules that can outline the structure of our lives. During this new Moon, we can confab with our own heart, gut, and mind to feel our inner guidelines, the structure that is ours and ours alone. The way is becoming clearer for us to offer our true gifts, not the ones that are dictated by family or society, but the ones that answer the inner call. The courage arises to meet the authentic notes of the song we came to sing. The song that our hearts and the universe are longing to hear. We have been going through a time for the last few months where the invitation is stronger than ever to engage in increasingly authentic lives. Meet with the unsullied you and sigh, breathe, and relish in the strength that exists in each and every cell of your being. The strength that is available always to give you the security to navigate your own life. Say yes to the yesses and no to the no’s and begin, begin, begin again. |

![]() The Moon is full in the fiery, expansive and optimistic sign of Sagittarius. The moon’s illumination in the fullness of Jupitarian Sag invites one to look inside and know. It is as if the windows to one’s inner workings have been shined clean from the inside and the out and some of what has been mysterious is now revealed if one does but remove the veil from the crystal ball and LOOK! The Sun in Gemini likes to gather information, get out into the world of Matter and the world of the Web and gather tips, tricks, hacks, methods and basic old how-tos. It leads us to pick up shiny things and stuff them in our sack – a use for them to be determined later. LATER is where Sagittarius comes in (which is now). Sagittarius not only has the info, he knows what to do with it. During this full moon cycle, Gemini’s ruler, Mercury, is retrograde. Self examination and inward looking are both encouraged during a Mercury retrograde cycle. You are also welcome to dump out your goodie bag and have a look at all the swag you’ve been collecting for the last few months - especially since the last Mercury retrograde cycle in February. Differentiate what actually sparkles for real and may be useful to you. Recycle or regift the rest. Or throw it on the burn pile and offer it up. Do these sparkling ideas, thoughts, dreams and actions that you have been having and taking truly serve the YOU that you came to this lovely planet to be? Honor your beautiful self with what you keep on board – both the ideas that you hold in your heart and in your head, the people and things that you keep in your sphere, and the places that you frequent. Neptune also started a retrograde cycle in the home sign of Pisces. And Neptune loves to look inside and see, feel, remember, dream in languages that you didn’t know you understood. The Sagitarrius Full Moon asks you to expand into your full optimistic, energetic majesty. Allow yourself to be full size! Be a giant version of yourself – don’t be afraid to use some self-penned hyperbole. There will be plenty of time to revert to human size later if you want. Anything that is doesn’t fit the biggest, most wonderous version of you can be released so that you may be more truly realized. Love to you all, Lydia lydia@soulastro.com www.soulastro.com |
