AQUARIUS NEW MOON 2021
At 2:05 PM EST on February 11th we have the New Moon at 23 degrees 16 minutes Aquarius.
We have Sun, Moon, Retrograde Mercury, Venus,
Jupiter, and Saturn ALL in Aquarius at the New Moon.
Pluto is the last hold out in Capricorn holding the energy for the major restructuring at hand.
Uranus freed us from the constraints of the familiar. It asks us to liberate from the structures we have known illustrated by the Capricorn/Saturn status quo.
Therefore, we are now being thrust into uncharted territory. As this is an energy of the individual experience who is part of a whole – we investigate and experience who we are because of and despite the experience of our family, culture, government and even our very humanity.
This experience varies from person to person depending on the factors in the individual chart and individual plan for evolution of the personality and soul.
We may all be in the same boat, but each of us is experiencing the journey from a different perspective.
Some are seasick. Some are lulled to sleep by the rolling waves. Some are plotting the course by the stars. Some rely only on the ship’s technology to find the way. Others are drunk in the bar and gambling away their life’s savings. Some are afraid of sinking. Some are convinced of their destination. Others are having deep conversations with their fellow passengers or with the dolphins that follow along.
Some are making sure others are comforted and cared for. Some are happily enjoying a massage. You get my point.
In the human experience there is wide variety. When the call to awaken and to allow in new ideas and ways of being comes, how do we react to the opening door?
Do we peek through? Do we evaluate what could be over the threshold? Do we smell the sweetness of the air rushing in – even if the scent is mostly unfamiliar?
It’s time to broaden our horizons and to find a way to ride the new energies, ideas and experiences that are available to us now. We each learn, adapt, and individuate in different ways and in different timing.
We each must find the way that works for us.
Our friends will help but they can’t have the experience for us. Each must let the Aquarian lightning bolt strike and assimilate that new energy in our own way.
Uranian energy will bring up what has been suppressed in Saturn/Capricorn.
Uranus holds all the memories of this and other lives, so we may be getting access to all kinds of flashes and flashbacks.
Uranus holds the blueprint for what is to come. So, this new Moon is a lot! Be as gentle with yourself as you can. Keep a pen or microphone handy for ideas, insights and memories.
Spend time alone to recalibrate. As the waves of energy come through we may need to adjust many times in the day by grounding, shaking the body a bit, stamping the feet, using soothing words to the self like “we’re getting through this,” having a nice cup of tea and a bit of cake, etc.
Squaring the Aquarius stellium is Uranus the ruler of Aquarius, and Mars both in Taurus.
Aquarian energy is of the Higher Mind, the genius, the rebel, and the outcast.
The way to bring in the new energies that are flowing, at times heaving toward us is to remember to stay grounded. If that means meditating on all fours or lying on the ground or the floor then do that.
Drink lots of water. Ask the higher mind to filter what information and energies that come through that are meant just for you.
Detachment is a keyword for Aquarius. The way Aquarians can be friends with almost anyone is that they maintain some emotional distance and allow what is at play, on the personal and the universal, to have space for expression.
Don’t take things personally at the moment and do the best to take a macro view of the human machinations at play just now.
Tend to your own vibration. Trust the process. Trust the greater wisdom.
Participate when it feels right.
Remember that there is a sea change at hand, and standing on the deck - ready and aware — is what’s called for first.
Stay grounded, invite the energies that are best for you to come in. Allow the rest of it to be absorbed by the surrounding sand, snow, and boulders.
The Moon will move into Pisces shortly after the New Moon. The Sun will move into Pisces on 18 February and things will feel a bit less electric.
The nerves will calm down a bit more and we’ll be able to assess. Mercury will resume forward motion on 21 February.
So for now, Happy Chinese New Year of the Metal Ox. The cycle for Chinese Astrology with the animal and element is 60 years.
The Metal Ox: hard working, dependable.
So the grounded, dedicated work can bring us back to center when the influx of information, new energies and grand changes jangle the nerves and senses.
Aquarius wants to invent, to make breakthroughs and to break free. This energy wants to be expressed during the new Moon. As many of us are in varying degrees of lockdown we need to be creative about breaking out when we might be sickest of coming up with new ideas for excitement in our living rooms.
Hang in there and invite in some new way to be, to do, to relax, to create, to relate, to allow…
With the natural square of Aquarius to Scorpio, share resources and ideas with friends. Find ways to collaborate and invent with others. Encourage a friend to try something new. Encouraging and empowering go hand in hand right now in ways that can radiate to the far reaches.
Jupiter conjunct Venus at this new Moon makes us feel lucky in love and affection. Mars Sextile Neptune can enhance the dream of attracting that which we desire.
Calm may not be achievable in the next day or so. Instead, dance like a maniac, with the intention of bringing in and earthing something new.
