The last new Moon of the year is on December 23 at 5:16 AM EST 1 degree 32 minutes Capricorn.
The North Node and Uranus nearly conjunct in Taurus
make an earth trine to The Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury, and Pluto all in close degree Capricorn. This gives a soothing quality to this new Moon.
Jupiter has completed its 12-year cycle and starts another round by moving into Aries.
Jupiter makes a Cardinal square to the Sun/Moon conjunction in Capricorn.
We may feel a rush of optimism and a sudden influx of ideas on how to structure projects that may have eluded us. We may feel a new beginning energy. Mars is still retrograde in Gemini so the surge of renewed energy will come from within. The gifts that may have been residing at the back of the mind or nestled behind a rib emerge from hiding.
On December 29th, Mercury will station retrograde at 24 degrees Capricorn conjunct Pluto and Virgo. Memories may resurface to add just the puzzle piece we need to give progress our plans.
This highlights building a life that is based on what we love and value with Uranus conjunct the N Node in Taurus.
Uranus can shake things up a bit like a cat climbing the holiday decorations. Which baubles and bells and songs and traditions do we hold dear and which ones can be shaken loose? What freedom comes from releasing things we kept because they were a gift? What peace comes from spending holiday time in the way we choose – not by the dictates of habit and duty?
Remember Capricorn rules. It exerts authority and puts down laws and commandments. Capricorn even rules over how we spend our precious time! Capricorn’s ruler, Saturn, is at 21 degrees Aquarius urging us to take dominion over our individual space, time, bodies, thoughts, and activities.
With the trine to Uranus and N. Node in Taurus it is time to honor our own values, our own time, and our internal beloved traditions.
Of course kindness and generosity are always in season. It is recommended - with this astrological configuration - to offer kindness and a spirit of generosity to the self first. This will radiate outward from the cherished heart – our own cherished heart, to those we meet along the way.
Feed the core of love in the personal heart first. This is how the emanation that comes can feed the many.
Think how hot the fire is at the center and how that burning warms those who come near with outstretched palms.
Hold the hands over the heart at this full moon. Thank it for beating time for the life all throughout the year. See the flame of love it gives to you. Feel that energy radiate throughout the body. See the light emanate outward to light the room, the house, the garden. See the heart’s light glow beyond the town, beyond the country, beyond the seas and beyond the galaxy.
Capricorn rules structure and boundaries. Experience, starting with the human heart, the power of the light that shines beyond imagining.
Rest there, feeling the heart and feeling it’s expansion. We can do it in the blink of an eye and it can affect all eternity.
