TAURUS NEW MOON 2019
The New Taurus Moon brings us home to ourselves. Aries bursts forth from the beyond and says, “I am here!” Pure instinct. Taurus says, “Now what?” I am here. I need to get oriented. Is this air I can breathe? Is there a safe place to set up my homestead? Is there clean water nearby? Will the soil bear fruit? What do I eat until the earth does bear fruit? What might eat me? At core, these are the Taurus questions. What do I need to survive? What do I need to acquire? If you wonder why Taurus clings on to people, things, habits and memories as if it’s life depended on it, it is because they do feel like life depends on it. Taurus’s basic instinct and need and focus is survival. That is the underlying motivation. Then, once survival feels secured, comfort comes next. Feathering the best, the Quonset hut, the fallout shelter. The Taurus energy is resourceful and is often looking for the back exit, for the gas mask. Safety first. It is nice, then, at this time, to get back to basics. Is my bed giving me a good night’s sleep? Do I at least need to turn the mattress? Is my food nurturing and sustaining me or does it taste good but hurt my tummy. On my he other end of the pendulum swing, have I become over obsessed with clean eating to the point of stoicism? Am I so careful about getting to bed on time that I never go out and have fun? Of course, we want to survive. And hopefully, life can go beyond mere survival to lush sensory experiences. These don’t have to break the bank. Bathing in the multitude of a forest’s spring greens can make all of that work to survive worthwhile. Now that we are fed and clothed, what makes a life worth living? A stable home, diet and income are the initial Taurus desire. It then wants to experience beauty on every level. Venus, ruler of Taurus, is halfway through its journey through Aries. We feel the urge to find new passions, pursuits and adventures. Mars, ruler of Aries, is in Gemini, opposing Jupiter retrograde in Sagittarius. We can go within to find the passions we wish to open to at this time. Our intuition will guide and awaken the conscious mind. Gemini and Sagittarius are mutable signs that help us to welcome transition, transformation and change. Saturn and Pluto, both retrograde in Capricorn are within a few degrees of a conjunction at the moment. We are considering how/if our timing and the structure of our life and livelihood are serving us on all levels for our best and highest good. How we spend our time, how we invest our time in ourselves and our lives is up for reformation and review. Taurus likes to take the time to ruminate. The rumination is aided by soft colors, comfy surroundings, and our favorite foods. Life’s unfoldment can be a picnic. 💗 Love, Lydia www.soulastro.com [email protected]
