SCORPIO FULL MOON 2019
The full Moon at 27 degrees Scorpio is a powerful agent for transformation. Scorpio is human. Like it’s partner in polarity, Taurus, it craves security. The desire of Scorpio, however, when it has developed a large enough head of steam, will release the chains of the every day and open to what we can become next. There are three symbols of Scorpio. The Scorpion, is tiny, and carries a large sting for whoever threatens its safety and security. It strikes out in retaliation or fear. The eagle takes to the sky and can survey the bigger picture. In its ability to see the broad view, it is powerful and is no victim. It kills to eat and feed it’s young. The third iteration, the Phoenix, is in a state that transcends ordinary existence. In its multidimensionality, it is able to take the plunge into other worlds, other experiences, knowing that death is a momentary and existence is eternal. It is able to risk the fire of transformation in order to see and experience what may rise from that fire. We all have Scorpio and Taurus energy in us, in our charts. If you don’t have planets in those signs, see what planets you have in the second and eighth houses – the Taurus and Scorpio houses, respectively. Look at what the rulers of those signs are up to by birth and by transit in your chart – Venus and Pluto, respectively. Even as the Sun and Moon move through these signs they affect how we approach security, self care, and evolution/transformation in our lives. Taurus is focused on itself, and its resources, sometimes to the exclusion of all else. Scorpio is concerned with shared resources. It has a wider perspective on how transformation and other aims can be achieved. Close up and wide views both have their place. With Venus, ruler of Taurus, conjunct Uranus in Taurus at this full Moon, we could even use a kaleidoscope to receive a new, weird, and enlightening perspective. Mercury is conjunct the Sun opposing the full Moon which will give us information about what serves us best and illuminate what serves us best in union with and in regard to others in our lives. The opportunity here is to be open to the most current and sincere version of how we value and care for ourselves and others. Some physical grounding — bare feet in the garden or park— while welcoming the shine of the full Moon into the cells of the body, can be both nourishing and transformative.
