TAURUS NEW MOON 2017

This Taurus New Moon invites us to welcome feelings of safety and security that can only come from within.
New Moons are personal and throw us back on ourselves.
The Taurus new Moon asks us to look at how we soothe and care for ourselves so that we can have a valuable life at home and abroad.
By valuable what is meant is a life that we value and treasure.
It also means that we are living a life that is in concert with our value system.
When the Moon is new and conjunction the Sun, we see if what goes on inside matches our outsides.
In the case of the Taurus New Moon we want to evaluate if what we value in our hearts and minds matches our activities at home and in the world.
This is not meant to be for reasons of self flagellation but instead for alignment.
Taurus is a fixed earth sign. Taurus is a habitual creature. Taurus tends to things, so habits like sleeping and eating and tending the garden are all nurturing ones. Other habits may no longer nurture us.
At the time of a new Taurus Moon, it is beneficial to look at the habits we can now let go of and the ones we’d like to bring into heavy rotation.
We are exiting a time of Venus (Taurus’ ruler) retrograde. So we may have a good idea about self care habits and relationship habits we’d like to release and new ones we'd like to let in. Venus will move into Aries on Friday April 28, so the time for the instinctual invitation to inspiration is right on the heels of the new Moon.
Spending some time this new Moon making a list of what's to go and a list of what's to come is a nice thing to do. Burn the letting go list or write it in snow or sand and the sweep it away.
Keep the list of new habits and refer to it whenever you feel like it and refine it as needed.
Taurus loves beauty and the natural progression of one thing to the next. Taurus is unhurried and will move when necessary, or when it is called to sweeter clover.
