VIRGO NEW MOON 2019
The New Moon at 6 degrees 47 minute Virgo truly gives us a chance to let go, regroup, recharge and make a space clear for the next phase. We are a few weeks away from the Equinox. We are a few weeks away from moving from the internal, self development phase that is the first five signs in the Astrological year — from Aries through Leo. In Virgo we reflect on how we feel about the experience so far. We have an opportunity to see more clearly than usual what things are worth our attention, and what could be released. The new Moon in Virgo is making a grand trine to Uranus in Taurus and Saturn in Capricorn. Our lives can be revolutionized by making tweaks to our daily routine. For me, starting my day with journaling years ago has been utterly life changing. Doing dishes before I leave the house leaves my brain free for creativity when I return home. We can meditate on how we would like our daily life to be ordered and what can be weeded out to make time for what we really want to be thinking/doing/experiencing. Who are we pleasing? Does the thing we are attending to make the heart and spirit swell with happiness/a sense of fulfillment? Does it make us contract with fear/loathing or perhaps an exclamation of why am I spending my precious time on this? I spent a quite a lot of time this summer on a project for which I had little aptitude and even less interest. I could have been painting or sunbathing or studying astrology or baking pies!!! The investment in time and energy was way bigger than I expected. When I get to places like this, which is less often now, I give my self permission to quit. It’s sometimes necessary to reframe priorities. I sometimes jump into things and halfway through remember, oh yah! I don’t like doing this thing! It is okay to change one’s mind. It was a good reminder of how I DO want to be spending my time. It is okay to back away from the cliff. It is okay to take the easier softer way. It is okay, more than okay, to spend our precious time doing what we love. Virgo helps us to assess all of these ideas on all levels. Virgo is ruled by Mercury. It is of the mind—and an Earth sign — in Virgo we are using the mind in a useful, practical way. Taurus is ruled by Venus. It helps us in a practical way to be aware of what we value. In relation to Virgo, it is what we value in our daily life and our attitude toward our daily life. What do I love to do in my every day life? Capricorn, the third Earth sign is ruled by Saturn. Saturn makes the structure of our day and how we spend our time. How can we fit what we value into our every day life. This love triangle of the Earth signs can help us to enter into a daily life that works for us. Virgo rules work. It rules the attitude toward the work we do, regardless of what it is we are doing. For some people a relatively predictable schedule provides a structure that works. For others, any sort of “day job” is unthinkable. What works for us can vary at different times of life. If work is love in action, then at the Virgo new Moon, whether we are typing or scrubbing or writing or planting, we can be open to the voice of our Higher Self, urging us, coaxing us toward that which we want now, that which makes us happy, secure, and fulfilled, for example. This Virgo new Moon is conjunct Venus and Mars. If we put some love and attention into our day, the inspiration can Be truly galvanizing! Have a chat with your Higher Self while airing out your home. Invite your higher self to partner with you in setting forth on the life you truly want. Just for today. The whole life doesn’t need to be mapped out. A next step can and will start the ball rolling. The new Moon opposes retrograde Neptune in Pisces. Our dreams wishes hopes and desires need a dusting off, an airing out, and a bringing to light. The dreams that may have been put on the shelf may be brought down and brushed off, given a more prominent place in your life. Some of them may go back on the shelf to be reviewed later. Some dreams don’t need to come to fruition. They were holding the space for a Dream more fitting to the now reality. Some of the dreams may be released to the ether, to make room for the dreams that feel right, the dreams whose time have come for attention and realization. Yes! I love Virgo! Virgo is a mutable, transformational sign. In its polarity to Pisces it brings our dreams wishes hopes and desires down to earth and allows them to manifest. So get dusting, airing out and clearing the corners of the home, the mind, the heart, and the vision. The time has come for dreams to become reality! Love, Lydia www.soulastro.com [email protected]
